The developers created something wonderful here. I love how they captured the mechanics of the old Hero Quest board game, but added more characters, equipment, and skills. Being able to continually increase your character abilities deepens the combat and strategy. I’ve played through twice and maxed my characters, but still I’ll probably go back and play again. I hope they make more like this!
Old school rpg fans, this one is for you. The controls can be a little frustrating at first, but other than that, this is an amazing recreation of the Hero Quest board game with lots of additional skills/spells for characters. No stupid in-app purchases! Wysiwyg, and I love this. I regret that this game is short though overall as I now want to dungeon crawl further, but it is nice to have automatic difficulty increase when you revisit a dungeon level. Click the small character icons on the right of the screen to select them - the large boxes don’t do anything.
If You like tactical turn based rpg, This is it.
This is a great game. The control scheme can be frustrating. It’s constantly switching back to the first character in the line up. Sometimes it feels more like I’m fighting the character selection process than the bad guys.
It’s simple but pretty and fun.
Sometimes in battle the upper menu doesn’t respond and so the abilities.
Potions should not be saved after retreat. Too easy to cheat. Maybe get rid of potions all together. An XP system maybe? Otherwise good game.
Just a super basic turn based game that throws more enemies at you than you can handle so you're constantly spending your money on resurrecting downed heros, replaying levels over and over. Got bored fast.
Simple and enjoyable I’d pay for new levels or an endless dungeon mode of some sort.
Would 5 star this if the control scheme wasn’t so hard to use. I can’t count the amount of times it misclicks and costs me a restart.
One of the best games on IOS. Great choice of characters and strategic play.
Does anyone know how to set difficulty level? Update, beat the game. What the heck! Short game. I thought the first map was just that! It was the whole game!
