simply the best
Spent all day learning Drambo and working on my first project. There’s a lot to like here, however my experience took a very unfortunate turn. Here’s some advice: Don’t save your project with a “/“ in the name. I made the mistake of calling mine “Funk A/D” since those were the main chords in the project. (You can probably guess where this is going.) Drambo will not warn you about the invalid name, but will pretend to save your data while actually trashing the whole thing. I made multiple e
The level of robustness and polish here is rarely seen in the mobile music world.
An iPad would be a worthwhile purchase just for Drambo, with its deep ability to design sounds and build complete tracks. Easily the best bang for your buck music software on the market on any platform.
This app is amazing. It's like ableton, a modular and an elektron device in one. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. I own some pretty expensive hardware and haven't used it since I started using drambo ( except for the times I sampled my synth with drambo). Considering selling a couple elektron boxes or a mpc live 2 now to fund an iPad pro.
I’m deducting one star because it feels (to me) like the UI can get in its own way some times, especially when I need to do a bit of menu diving. But this is such and endlessly powerful and versatile app that you kind of have to expect to spend some time learning the interface.
Drambo is such a fun and powerful groovebox with constant updates. Totally worth for the price. The cmodular approach is quite intuitive and provides a lot of flexibility for experimentation and generative stuff. I would like to see the piano roll snapping to the scale in a future update.
Has everything you need to make complete tracks, experimentations, jams..it does basically everything you could ask for and does it efficiently. I would have paid double and still felt like I was getting a steal.
It’s hard to believe how much power is in this little app. If you can manage to get past the learning curve, this app can essentially emulate any bit of hardware you can imagine. Synths, samplers, sequencers, clip launching, and anything you could want is in here. It’s like euro rack meets groove box with the ability to build any architecture and functionality you’d like. The icing on the cake is that it is being actively developed.
It’s amazing “LEGO like” app in iOS electronic music production
Drambo is the one ios app that connected all the dots for me. Every time I see some new widget released I think, “I could probably patch something like that up in Drambo” and even if it’s not exactly the same, I always learn something new. Thank You Beep Street!
There is so many things to say about this app, it’s like a Elektron machine mixed with Ableton live mixed with every synth and effect you could ever think of when you combine them all. You can just go on the patchstorage website look for Drambo and download new synths fx and modules, for FREE. Can’t believe I’ve never rated this app before, it’s literally the best value for money audio app ever made imo, and I’ve used Ableton Live, Reaktor and similar things for over 20 years. On iOS, this is TH
This is the only app I use now. It's amazing. It's like an endless modular synth attached to elektron sequencers and an endless effects processor. I don't even use hardware anymore. Drambo is just too good to use anything else. And Beepstreet are kinda on the ball with the updates.
Drambo has absolutely revolutionized iOS music making. There is nothing quite like it in all of Hardware and Software ( although you could maybe get close if you had a table with 2 Octatracks, a Digitakt, a Digitone, and a Modular Synth case full of modules) , but that wouldn’t fit in your pocket. I love using Drambo to host other auv3s, but even by itself it is insanely flexible. Not to mention the stream of updates that have continued to improve it and add a myriad of new possibilities. I’ve used almost every groovebox on iOS and Drambo is the best of the best. I’ve never been so productive and creative when making Music as i am when I’m using Drambo.
I have used drambo for a few years. I really love the ability to be modular and dig deep to design and sequence. The ability to get granular really ups the game! The wavetable oscillators are fantastic. and the control is awesome! One improvement that would be fantastic: IAA workflow inclusion. It’s a shame that I can route my midi through core and bring it into something like cubasis or AUM for editing or hosting, but I am not able to take my standalone session’s audio and bring it in.
Drambo is the best tool for mobile music creation that has ever been invented. $20 is a steal for all it can do, and the IAPs are very reasonable too. Love this developer and all he has done for the mobile music making community. Trust me, just get it.
Drambo is simply the best music creation app on any platform.
Thank Drambo is officially a Complete Professional Audio and Midi Work Station Thank You 🥳🥳🥳
This app is light years ahead of most modern hardware grooveboxes. I’m still going to ask for parameter slides haha
It’s really creative and fun …a bit like Bitwig for ios..a looping module that sets tempo would be a nice addition💎…but connecting with loopy pro is working nice 👍 🔂
Please update its been 9 months its starting to get buggy
Drambo is amazing, but is developed by a one man shop and the pace of development has ground down to a halt in 2021.
Please update the app its getting glitchy and sounding crunchy
It’s almost perfect. I just wish we can export stems without having to mute all tracks and export each track individually. Also, track mutes on a per pattern basis would make this complete.
This is the spaceship we have all been waiting for. Turned off quantize, and immediately got down.
This is the Swiss Army knife of apps. It’s the legos of music gear. It has saved me thousands of dollars because every time I see new apps or hardware you just start thinking how you can recreate/ improve it using drambo. Thank you for this app!
This makes modular synthesis so much more accessible than other iOS apps I’ve tried, especially since it incorporates an intuitive groove box style workflow. It’s like MiRack and Grooverider got cross mojonated and sprinkled with magic dust!
Innovative for sure. Loads of fun.
You can really tell how much R&D went into this app.
Nice snappy interface, good feature set, filter sounds great! nothing better than a new app while the whole world is in lockdown! lots to explore! the on screen kb could do with pitch bend.
So, so deep, but easy to get something going. Terrific!
There are still a few rough edges, but it is still astonishing. A modular groove box wonderland.
Takes only a short while to learn but when you do? Wooooow. Buy it. Now. 😊
Love this. So much great potential.
This app is insanely good already, and keeps getting better. Thank you Beep Street! Be sure to check out the tutorial videos on Youtube if you aren't sure what this is or how to use it, there's a great series of them by Ben.
Deep synthesis, excellent sound quality, easy to learn with YouTube tutorials.
All I can say is GET THIS NOW!!!!
AU hosting turned Drambo to ‘Inception’. Keep your top close.
Drambo is one of those package, which makes you feel like you’ve been living under a rock... like was I asleep for a few years... so far ahead... suddenly you look back at your other gear and it looks like dinosaurs...
Seriously one of the best apps for iOS music production. @soundsfunlive IG
This is the best modular playground on any device. Wow.
The most fun I have ever had making music. So good that you could buy an iPad just for this. The iPhone version is still okay but needs a full ui rework to be really usable.

This is a great groove box with very cool modulation features, but UNDO function is so limited which makes this app so frustrating to use, you can basically screw up the whole project with a single swipe. I really hope it will be improved soon.
