Great Bible Study App!!!

This is a great Bible study app. It gives you many translations and references which are easy to access. Get this app.

Pros and Cons

I love this app for finding references and tagging scripture but the Memory feature does not work as described. Ive double tapped on several verses and have never seen the option to add a verse to the memory portion of the app. This function needs redevelopment.

Best Bible resource!

Keep this app with you during Bible reading, Bible study, and when you go to worship! This is the best resource to supplement your learning and teaching. A treasure-trove of resources to help you grow in the knowledge of God and His Word.

Good Bible Study Aid

So far, the only thing I find negative about the e-sword app is the failure to allow the screen rotation feature on my iPad. I use the iPad a lot for study and for bible study teaching. A keyboard is a must for serious study on an iPad which means the device is orientated at 90 degrees from normal. Most apps do rotate, such as the Blue Letter Bible etc….I actually like e-sword better, but I can only use it on my phone for this reason. I keep hoping for an update that will fix this. Other than th

Life-Changing!

The only app I’ve ever actually purchased but the most profound! I’m shocked it doesn’t have millions of 5-star reviews. I used to have to get the huge black Strong’s Concordance to study the words in The Scriptures-but NO MORE! One click on the word shows me exactly what it means. The most amazing tool I have ever used to bring His Words alive with meaning!

Favorite Bible until ….

Seems last update removed the sermons which you could listen too related to a Bible verse. Had a know this feature was being removed would have never installed the update.

One Request

First off. Love e-Sword. Have it on iPad and laptops. Been using it for years. I teach classes at our church how to use it. It has been a blessing to help others study Gods Word. My Request - connect notes with verses in a way that is much more like a physical experience. When I open my Bible, I can see the notes I have written. It would be amazing if there was a little quote bubble that could be clicked on to reveal notes made. Or even if it was connected to a personal commentary that

I love it

Makes it easier to understand

Double tap function not as good

I wish this version instead of double clicking the reference, you could just press down on it, also it would be nice to be able to highlight more than one verse at a time by clicking on multiple verses…

AWESOME!!!!

This has been THE BEST Bible app that I have ever used. AWESOME JOB!!!!

Wow!

I love this app! I have e-Sword on every device I own! Mac, iPad and iPhone! I have been using this software for years and I highly recommend it to everyone i know that are looking for help with Bible studies.

Almost Perfect

I’ve used esword for almost 20 years. I absolutely love it. The only thing I feel it’s missing is the ability to put the library into folders to help with organizing. I’ve purchased almost everything there is to buy, plus have a lot of the free resources as well, but it’s a lot to go through when studying

Languages

Hello, this is not a review yet. The app says that there are 4 languages, I want to change the language to Spanish, how do I do that? I just can’t find how to do it.

Esword Icon App

How do I get the esword icon on my iphone?

Great App

My most used Bible study app, I have tried others but keep coming back to this one.

eSward

Very useful and well organized

Excellent but editor

I have used this app for years and I love it, love it, love it. The fact that I can do my own devotionals and commentary using editor has been fantastic, the only challenge now is that some of my old notes are not being displayed in the editor. I do see them in the preview but when I open it’s blank. Not sure who else has this experience maybe the developer could address.

Few tools

Was not what I expected very limited no maps etc without making several other purchases

Note Functionality Has Been Restored

I am updating my previous review submitted on 10/21/23. At that time, notes could no longer be saved to individual verses. In the developer’s last eSword update (version 12.1), the glitch was fixed and all my previously saved notes that were not displayed are now visible. I am extremely pleased and thankful since I use the notes feature almost daily. My profound thanks to the developer for this amazing app. I will always highly recommend this Bible as it far surpasses other online Bibles.

Annoying glitch since recent IOS update

I am not sure when iit began, but when the auto reading is on the chapters do NOT move anymore. So, unless you wait to hear the chapter announced you won’t know what book or chapter is beyread. This is very annoying!!!! - note: I have been using this for several years.

The most incredible Bible resource of our time

I have been using e-sword for around 15 years and nothing has been as comprehensive and easy to use to further my understanding in God’s word as this program. Highly recommended for anyone looking to understand deeper or simply start the day in devotionals and the reading of God’s word. My thanks to the developers of this program, God bless you.

BEST BIBLE STUDY APP EVER

The creators of this app were anointed by God. This has helped me so much with cross reference, And commentaries and Hebrew and Greek. No other Bible app can top E-SWORD. 🔥

Por favor mejoren la compatibilidad de los módulos

Me encanta esta aplicación, solo necesita que ser compatible con los módulos de la E-Sword de PC. ¿Les sería posible hacer esta actualización? Gracias

Needs TTS

Time to come out of the dark ages

Many Texts Need Their Spellings Checked.

Who is Jeremy the prophet? That's what I mean by spellchecking the texts. Here are examples. Mat 27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; Mat 2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

Came a long way from a computer program

I used this as a kid learning the Bible. How far It’s come today. Tons more translations resources and now cheistian radio. It doesn’t get any better than this. So glad you have the complete Cepheer translation. Was going to buy the app/hardcover when I found out this was included it was a no brainer. Thank you so much

Pros and cons

This app is pretty great… however… as an IPhone user, I cannot seem to get the memorization feature to work. It seems like this is a missing ui issue and after posting on forums, Facebook group pages and messaging the team directly I have found no fix, and no one has reached out to help solve the issue. If there were better customer support this would be a 5 star app, without a doubt.

Love app BUT

I really love this app I truly do. How we when I highlight verses, they don't show up under highlighted scriptures and it makes my studying more difficult since I can't see the scriptures I've highlighted unless I go searching through the actual Bible.

Pregunta

Como puedo hacer para descargar el e-sword con muchas versiones y diccionarios.?

Not bad

Not bad. Limited choices for complete Bibles (meaning Bibles with all of Gods word). Sadly, most of the Bible are missing the deuterocanonical books and therefore missing part of God’s word. The good news they do a least have the KJV-A.

Hands free help

I like to app but I wish it was a little more hands free friendly being a truck driver we have to use hands-free stuff turn on music and things on and if I start it and it stops or I gotta stop it. I can’t start it again like a music app. it shows a pause and start on the front of my phone like a music app but I can’t stop and start it again to listen to it again

Great bible app

This is a great bible app but it needs to be updated to use the Apple Pencil. Everyone that studies a bible writes notes on the pages. This is long overdue for this app. With that update it would be the best bible app available and worthy of 10 star review!

Great Bible app……But.

I love this app. It’s the only Bible app I use. My only problem with the app is that when I highlight a verse, I will go to the highlighted verses and they all say 0. I have numerous verses highlighted so being able to see them would be great. Thanks!

E-Sword has done away with readings?

So sad. My boys loved them.

Love this app but won’t let me highlight

I have just one thing wrong, that is lately you can’t highlight any of the scriptures.. can you please fix this problem. Thank you

Please Make It A Smoother Interface

I personally love this application, but at times the interface isn’t as “modern” or “fluid” as other applications. It’s an amazing user experience but I would love for it to be a smoother experience since at times I love to do studies thoroughly and having a more pleasantly smooth experience would be so beautiful.

No “Awesome “ Button :(

There is supposed to be a new feature that allows you to click on a button to take you to a random encouraging scripture…but I’ve searched everywhere for it and there is none in my e-sword.

Excellent Bible App

I have used this app for several years and love it. It puts the bible at your finger tips. Very functional and easy to navigate.

Best Bible app I’ve found

I can’t even list all the things this app does. It has been the best app I’ve ever downloaded.

Thank you for updating to allow me to see the rest

Of Bullinger’s Companion Bible. If there was a way to be able to create a custom split view to view a commentary, Bible version, and lexicon ( or at least let you view a Bible version and a commentary at the same time, then I would just choose KJV+ so I could just click the strongs numbers on each word and then Bullinger’s companion bible for the verse commentaries, instead of comparing two different Bible versions then I would rate this app 5 stars) but thank you again so much thank you thank y

The BEST Bible app!

I have been using this app for several years now, and it is the best app for studying the Bible. Excellent intuitive functionality. Extensive commentary sources to choose from. Especially grateful for the addition of the Kretzmann commentary! Thank you for creating and maintaining such a valuable study tool! Well done, and highly recommended!

Absolute TOUR DE FORCE for Bible Study!

May God richly bless those who created this app! I remembered eSword back in the 90’s & 2000’s when it was in CD-ROM format and you had to insert into your computer to use. Forgot about it until I was looking for a Hebrew/Greek dictionary for study and a close friend recommended eSword. Amazing app and so handy to have tremendous resources at your fingertips for study and research!

Absolutely the BEST!

I have used E-Sword for many years. As a Pastor it was an essential tool for study and sermon prep. I purchased multiple versions on it through the years and have transferred across many devices. I love it! Makes deep study simple and fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT,

For serious Bible students

This Bible app is easily one of the best you can buy. If you want to seriously study the Bible, this is the place to start. If you want to know God in a deeper way, using an app like this is a border-line necessity. Definitely download. It’s worth every penny, and more!

Cumbersome App & NKJV Costs an Additional $14.99

I paid $3.99 for this app and I think the only usefulness is the Hebrew & Greek word references in the KJV+ version. It’s super complicated to navigate. I’ll stick to the app I was using before this one. Also, it’s $14.99 to add NKJV, yet the Calvinist ESV Bible is free. Go figure. (The default is KJV and KJV+ which is the Hebrew & Greek word reference version, so those versions do come with the $3.99 at least.)
