Hate the change impossible to manage. How can I go back
I’ve never understood why this app wasn’t rated higher. I’ve used just about every calendar app over the years and have always felt that they were lacking in something (e.g. searchability, copy-and-pasting capabilities, etc.). Fantastical is the first calendar app that has checked every box for me.
Fantastical on iPhone, iPad and Mac is critical to my work. I rely on fantastical to be productive and for Openings to set up meetings with the many people that I have to schedule with.
My wife and I have different appleid’s and having to input everything twice was a pain. I’ve never seen an app that has the capabilities to connect to both appleid’s, but this one can! I can use either the Apple calendar or Fantastical to input info and it shows up on both calendars on both appleid’s! Have tried other calendars that have their own cloud, but they were too complicated or had a huge learning curve. Love Fantastical!
Longtime user; I could never go back to using Apple’s calendar app—that’s how good Fantastical is. Try it out and you’ll see why.
I love this calendar for the customization but most especially the widgets. They have weather at a glance and there’s lots of layout options I have 1 gripe. I cannot justify a monthly subscription for a calendar. I would pay out right to own the extra features but a monthly subscription just isn’t it. Also to have a subscription just to have 5 more days of weather even though I could just click into accuweather and get it for free? Seems void
The annual subscription is worth it
My primary calendar app for nearly a decade. The natural language approach to making events is so handy. They add features without them getting in the way of usability of core functions, which is key.
Been using for years and is still the unmatched king of calendars
I love this app, no doubt. I’ve used it from the start, and do try other solutions. For Mac, and iOS padOS - it’s good looking and quite smart Also love that update notes are clean and informative
This is the only app I’ve found that lets me give a scheduling link that looks at all of my calendars. Others, like Calendly, only look at one calendar account. Fantastical looks at my personal iCloud account and my work account to show someone if I’m available. Next, it’s the best calendar app for adding new events and being able to see my reminders in one place. Completely worth the price.
Can you make it so I can adjust the duration of a task when assigned a due date/time? I want to be able to place a task on my calendar. Adjust its duration from 10 minutes, 30 minutes, to a few hours. This way, I can time block my day using tasks rather than creating a calendar event for a task. No complaints after many years using (odd glitch now and then, plus there should be a setting to allow users to lightly “gray out” past days, esp in month view) but this app is so darn expensive. I dropped it for a couple months to try to save money but will pick it up again …… Developers, please give us a break! Esp us retired folks!
I love Fantastical and recommend it all the time. Today, when I opened the app my calendar was missing appointments. A search for regular appointments returned no results. I had access to one of my calendars, but no others. I signed in again and my calendar is back to normal. I opened another app that had signed me out too. I wonder if the recent iOS update caused this. (17.4.1) iPhone 12 Pro Max
This week the watch complication has been randomly disappearing from my watch, requiring me to edit the watch face and add it back
The NYT Astronomy and Space Calendar is not current
I’ve had this on my current & previous iPhone. Great calendar, very user friendly
Really? I have to subscribe to get functions that are already available on my default calendar? No thanks. I’m not seeing what makes your calendar worth the money…
I’ve been using Fantastical since Fantastical 2. I use the iPhone version. Recently got my first MacBook and decided to purchase Fantastical for my MacBook. I’m still in my trial period, but it seemed that as soon as I installed the app on my MacBook the widget on my iPhone keeps freezing and crashing. Every time I open the widget to check off a task, it freezes and then the app shuts down. Needless to say, I will be uninstalling it he MacBook app.
I use the free version, which does everything I need. I liked through many of the most negative comments just now and notice that they are ALL related to price, not functionality. That’s interesting. It is also interesting that the developer responds to each with a disingenuous, non-substantive “thanks for your feedback…..”
This calendar has proven to be really helpful for me but they are raising prices from $40 to $57 so I already canceled my subscription. Sorry not paying that much for a calendar that barely gets any new features. Besides, what more features could you add to a calendar app? Don’t get greedy.
Have had Fantastical for half a year now. Had the app on my iPhone 11 Pro and just got an iPhone 14 Pro Max today. I installed the app and tried to sign in but it keeps freezing/loading indefinitely after pressing “Allow” on the “Access” screen on setup. Has been happening and can’t use Fantastical on new iPhones
But I can’t make events repeatable right now
I love this calendar app but I’m having an issue where the up next widget on my Home Screen isn’t showing any events. It will on my Lock Screen widget in iOS 16 but not on the Home Screen.
I hate that the watch complication date color changed with iOS16 update. It used to be all white. Now the date is white and the day is red. Absolutely hate the red color! There isn’t enough contrast with the background and I have trouble reading the small print. Bring back the all white complication!
Thanks for making my life so much easier
The calendar app is a must if you have multiple calendar. I haven’t found anything better than the Openings future in fantastical when you have multiple calendars.
The watch complication does not load all of the iOS Reminders for today. They are also missing from the Task list. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling on both the watch and on the phone. It did not help.
I have tried around 10 calendar apps for my calendar and deadline driven law practice. This is the best by far. Laid out well and easy for an old guy like me to use.
Integrates Google Calendar and Task onto my iPad/iPhone/Apple Watch. No other app has been able to do this on a consistent basis. The FlexBits premium subscription is required and I’m happy to pay. Thank you
This is an amazing app with some key differentiating features (natural language entry). Now that it’s paired with their contacts app: Cardhop, the paid subscription is well worth it!
I use this app daily and love most of what it has to offer (especially the premium version). I have always wanted the developers to add a way to add pictures and attachments to events, it would come in handy for me so many times!
I’ve been hawing Fantastical for over 5 years now, and it’s one of the most useful apps I’ve got. I’m able to choose how/what calendars sync across what devices, and the homepage widget is a nobrainer. It just works
This does what it should. Been using it for years and have been very happy. Am able to link up all my various calendars. Love the shortcuts and natural language.
I will return if I can get a theme set like Apollo. The widgets offer a black theme and the app only does a dark theme. I want a pure black theme for my OLED screen first.
Overall like this app, but I wish it had a memory feature so that I would not have to always enter locations each time to the same meeting places.
Easiest way to sync multiple calendars in one place. Love this app!
Thank you for making us have more options even if we don’t subscribe to fantastical. Honestly I’m sure people can agree with me if the subscription was a little cheaper people would subscribe more often. I know I would.
Ever since CRAPple ruined widgets with iOS 14, Fantastical’s far superior and incredibly useful Today View widget continued to work. But now it seems like it’s finally been laid to rest. Sad day.
It’s a great little App. I like the way it functions.
There’s a very confusing account key that’s required to sync between devices. It frequently has to be reset and often appears as (null), making it impossible to copy to other devices.
Other than that, liking the app
3 Negative User Reviews for Fantastical Calendar
In iOS settings, calendar access has 3 options: none, events only, and full access. For multiple reasons, I only want to include events, which until recently was fine, so I chose Events Only. Now when I open the app, I get a message saying that the app doesn’t have *any* access to my calendars, and instructs me to give the app full access. If full access is required for the app to function, then the events only option should be removed from the iOS settings area. Regardless, full access is for m
Hello I really like your app but I’m disappointed it does not have a voice prompted Ai to assist with scheduling tasks events reminders. When will you guys bring this to the app? Most calendar apps now integrate an Ai to help streamline inputs. I think this would be a game changer for this app. It would make managing our calendars much faster
It’s a calendar app, it does everything the iPhone native calendar does. A handful of different views but nothing worth paying extra for.
