FILCA - Vintage Film Camera App Reviews

I don’t need a expensive camera. This app has all I need. P.S (if seller see this..) I am iphone 8 user. I don’t know since when it is happen, Everytime i use the app, i take a picture with Bluetooth selfi stick. But Few weeks ago, it doesn’t work. When i open regular camera app, it works. I think this app is happened something. I need answers and solution.

If you take a lot of photos but hate having to edit them just for Instagram stories, this is the perfect app. Once you get your presets dialed in you can shoot tons of photos and upload them with no hassle.

Quality and emulation of film stock is very impressive. Only gripe is, I wish I could use my anamorphic lens with this app and be able to desqueeze in real time. Anamorphic lens flares would look so cool. Possible future update!?

Been using this app on and off. For the most part it works decent, but sometimes glitches out. Only thing I like is that you can shoot “macro” if you dial in your settings correctly.

The images look amazing, though I find myself rarely using the app to take photos. The camera constantly freezes, lags, and crashes on iPhone 13 mini, but was the same on iPhone 11 Pro. Instead, I use really any other camera, and import the images into FILCA for processing. I only wish the realistic camera graphical interface were eliminated to allow for a smoother overall experience. Wide angle support would be nice for the price as well. I am an avid film photographer. And I figured I’d pay the 4 bucks to check this app out. And I have to say I’ve gotten some downright gorgeous photos out of it. But I find it extremely limiting due to the features in the subscription based pro version. Most of all white balance. I could do with half of the film emulation settings if they allowed me set my white balance.

I’ve been dreaming and wishing for an app like this. I have a box of film rolls in my refrigerator — most bought on trips to Japan. I mostly work digital but adore film and have several cameras of both kinds. I live for texture, tone, grain and am v excited for this on my phone. Worked perfectly instantly from download. Happy to pay for this (a bargain!). Love.

Was expecting to be able to use the volume button to take a photo. Unfortunately this means you can’t use any Bluetooth photo takers for this app as they all rely on the volume button as the shutter.

Really easy to use. The filter are good no need to edit. Maybe next update add ability to use a bluetooth shutter. Would be a nice option.

I love the filters and editing options on this app. But ive started to use it as an editor rather than a camera. Its camera function is annoying as you have to hold it horizontally to take shots. I wish it was a pure stand alone editor instead, a lil glitchy but still good

Fantastic app. I’ve been waiting for this one since my first iPhone. And the price is quite a bit less than my Leica!

I like it, i got the chance to mess around with it after i bought it and then after that i get maybe 3 seconds open before it closes down

Amazing photo quality, but did I just pay 4 bucks to take photos I can’t use. I think so. Shiesty.

At one point this was app was able to zoom, and they even mention it, but it doesn’t seem to work. I’d consider the upgrade if it worked

i love this app, i really do. the only thing thats missing for me is aperture control/ priority and for the camera to stay in manual mode or auto mode. its frustrating how the camera always reverts back to auto mode.

I like the app However, everything has to be purchased The video option first sells you the film mode and then the camera option, having already a photography camera purchased. Bad strategy Oh well!!!

I am importing 27mb files from Phocus software via WiFi on my Hasselblad digital camera. Every time I try to use this app with a photo this big it simply crashes when trying to save. Please look at this! Thanks

Great photos. No how to manual. Have to turn phone off to turn off camera

It would be awesome if this camera could address RAW.... it's advertised as an iphone 13 camera.... am I missing it?

Nice app, bit too many in store purchases even when you upgrade to pro. When it photo mode cant find the turn off button. Is it me?

Such a great app! My only compliant is that the photos are all my camera roll upside-down.

While this app is very functionally nice, one thing it fails to make apparent is that you have to pay extra $3.99 (on top of the original $3.99) inorder to film video.

The pics are not sharp. They either too soft. And I’m using iPhone 11. The film colors are great.

Only wish is maybe can add a way to access photo gallery in app

Amazing camera! Has this as my main camera app on my phone! I have bought the pro version—$3.00 isn’t that bad of a price! Just wishing you could record video....

The effect packs add even more to how clean it runs. Been having issues booting it app after ios 14 dropped.

I want to really really love this app. But it quits abruptly or, as in the case of new ios, doesn’t work at all.

I get so much positive feedback from these filters. Reminds me of my fav 35mm color films.

Used this app for a couple of months, and loved it. For some reason it won’t even open anymore. I deleted and downloaded the app again and it still won’t open. Kinda disappointing. I love the app though, I hope this gets fixed.

How do I turn off the sound the app makes when taking a shot, I find it very annoying!

I purchased the Kodak series but I’m not seeing it in my film effect tab.

I paid for the app and then it’s asking to upgrade to a pro version again? Tell me if this is a mistake.

since new ios update, app will no longer open. tried deleting and redownloading to no avail.

I need a refund, the aap in not up to the mark.

Filters aren’t very realistic and you can’t import already existing photos :(
