GasBuddy: Find & Pay for Gas App Reviews

I accidentally selected the pay with Gas Buddy card option and my favorite stations all disappeared. I just located my problem and resolved it for my needs.

Seriously you are rewarding points on alcohol purchases?! Poor taste!!! Drink responsibly? Right. Hey how wondrous responsibly too?

Good app overall. One suggestion I would make (probably doesn’t matter to most) would be an option to report what fountain drink types the station has (Coke or Pepsi product). I also don’t know why food places (Wendy’s) has started showing up on my map

I love this app and honestly it’s amazing that the service is so reliable. On top of it I love saving money. However recently some weird emails popped up and I was really confused until I talk to Matt in regards to request 1530050 and he was absolutely helpful. I hope you guys see this and really consider Matt a great employee. He was extremely helpful and on top of his game. Thank you so much.

Love the app been using it for years and it has saved me a lot of money. It would even better if you added kerosene prices too.

I decided to do the GasBuddy card too. However, the last three times I’ve used it with a deal alert, it never applied. Just stick to your receipts and submitting them.

Does not have the ability to find 100% ethanol free gas

The only downfall is there is not a filter to find ethanol free gas. I use this app every time I get gas to see who is the closest and the cheapest I always save a few cents that way. Great!

In GasBuddy, you can connect your Club CITGO gas rewards to the app for added savings. However, when you attempt to connect Shell Fuel Rewards, it recognizes that you have a Shell Fuel Rewards account. However, it will not let you connect to the Shell Fuel Rewards account. This is a bummer because Shell fuel stations are more widely available where I live. Developer, if you are reading this, please do get it fixed soon.

App is about gas, lose the fast food flags or make them smaller and/or only visible when zoomed in to an area. Maybe give the option to turn them off. Star rating is on how helpful the app is.

I love the Gas Buddy app, just with it had an option for ethanol free gas stations.

It's an ok app. The ads are frustrating as on the phone, the screen jumps when I want to tap on the gas station and it goes to a site I did not want at all! Fix the skipping.

Love the app, it deserves 5 stars but way too many gas station managers are manipulating the app by reporting fuel prices way below actual prices to try to attract customers. I’ve proven this on multiple occasions by entering the correct fuel prices only to have the managers change it back to a fake price minutes after I correct it.

I like the idea of finding cheap gas prices but just a suggestion; add UNL 88 to the selection of fuel type as most hybrid vehicles run on this type of fuel. Also please add the Trip Calculator feature from the website to the app as that would save travelers time and more convenient to find gas stations along their trip(s).

I love using gas buddy as it saves cents on every purchase I use through gas buddy, as well as finding gas stations near by at the cheapest prices. I’m giving it a 4 because there have been numerous times where gas buddy did not giving me the extra cent off, even when activating the deal and the gas station was indeed correct and I double checked. Gasbuddy leads the way in cheapest gas search!

It often takes 30-45 seconds for the app to open and by then I may have driven by the gas station! Once it finally is open it’s a great app and has saved me a fortune over the years. Indispensable, but man it’s sluggish opening performance leaves a ton to be desired.

Idk if it’s an issue with bots reporting the wrong prices but they are NEVER accurate for what’s listed and i have been duped enough times to actually write this review about it. It always says the prices are recently reviewed by sometimes minutes previous to my visit, which is clearly a lie or as i said before not activity. Also the card has never worked for me so i discontinued the gas card after a couple attempts. I mean at least it functions as an app that has every gas station within a good

Red bar over the listing says save 9 cents. Black price is $3.29. RED price is $3.14. Doesn’t add up. How much am I going to pay per gallon ??

Every time i open app now, pop ups bombard you. You click out of them to get to gas prices. Always asking me to get there free card. Wants to verify my age. Uninstalling after this.

The sort by anything other than distance stopped working after the update. This happened in the past. Stop playing with a working app.

Gas buddy does not differentiate between E-10 and E-15 gasolines or between summer and winter grades of diesel fuel. Also does not have an alcohol-free classification for gasoline. This makes the “regular” classification confusing at best. Feature request: ability to compare cost per mpg between categories (ie, E-10 vs E-85.)

GasBuddy ROCKS! What is lacking? Propane price per gallon search. Propane price per exchange search. Propane price new search. Hydrogen per gallon search. ANY and ALL fuel type search and price reporting. PLEASE!

If I pay for GasBuddy, why are there all kinds of ads everywhere? I can see it with a free version, but not with the paid. Otherwise, a very good app.

Can you please add support inside apple’s car play app?

This app has saved me a lot of money and I use it regularly. Only criticism would be that you can’t locate prices by company.

I’ve always been perfectly fine paying a few dollars to get an ad-free experience in my apps. The fact that I can’t seem to do that with this one is annoying. The app is otherwise great but the ads are very detracting. It’s disappointing.

I have used gas buddy for a long time to find the cheapest local gas stations. Now all of a sudden Exxon, BJs, and Costco stations are not listed. I will be looking for a different app that does include those stations.

I really like the new dark theme on my iPhone 11! although it does get a bit glitchy when trying to navigate through the app. But other than that the app by itself is really good! No problems that I know of or going through with the app.

I’ve never seen so many updates in a single app. Every 3 days to a week another update and nothing seems different.

I went to add data and when I open it my six months of data was not there, just gone 🤬😡👎🏻

So far I’ve saved 19 cents just using the card alone , I’ll have to plan ahead to save more money so far it’s a nice program

Love this app but we need to be able to do more than $75.00 a day. You can’t use this app when traveling 🧳 especially with todays gas prices you go over your limit.

This APP can save you money at the pumps!

I always check the prices on gas buddy before filling up. They always seem to be up to date and lots of users keep them that way. I like being able to see who has the lowest gas prices.

The concept is fantastic for anyone who field up regularly, however the app and the linked cards don’t always work. These bugs need to be fine tuned!

Just started using GasBuddy several weeks ago and this is a great program

I have used this app for a few years and saved $500.0 annually

The app lists several grades of gasoline, but if you drive a classic car, Motorcycle, boat, or need regular gas for your lawnmower… the app is of no use.

I don’t know if it’s the gas stations themselves posting false prices to get people to drive to their location, or if it is the app, but for the past couple weeks gas buddy has never been accurate, and one time it was off by $.60 a gallon! Are people purposefully putting in false information? Or is the app just not going to work with volatile prices? anyway, I no longer see the point in using it.

I’m getting wrong gas prices on the stations I frequent.
