Love the app but I was immediately charged 19.99 even though it says I'm on a free trial until December 10th. i don't know if I'll be charged again after the "free trial" ends...

1. Allow me to set the lens display to read the mm for the lenses, rather than the 1x or 2x. 2. Allow me to use the new camera button swiping as a focus ring.

Totally Unbelievable

I’ve wasted so much time and so many opportunities without Halide. While I can’t go back and recapture those photos, I can leave this review here. The most valuable 2 features for me, worth the app’s cost alone, are not even really marketed on the site: focus peaking and leveling tool. Game changer! Thanks Halide team.

This is the best camera app! I only wish Apple would allow making this my default camera app so I could launch it from the lock screen

All after i was a part of the 1st funding round does now pinch to zoom or granular zoom is no longer a feature unless I pay again… cringe

I purchased the lifetime access to support the work of the developers because this is a fantastic camera app even though I probably will use another camera app instead based on one intentional omission by the developers. Why am I choosing to use a different app plus only four stars for this review? Because the zoom for the iPhone 13 Pro Max is restricted to 3X. Zoom is wide open on halide for older phones but not the newer ones? Isn’t that backwards? Please reconsider this in future updates.

The latest version, especially the macro options are the best!

It’s the camera app that made me stop writing my own camera app. Between this and the default 1st party app, everything I need is fully covered.

Used for the 1st time. It is intuitive and works as advertised.

I had deleted it at first, because I didn’t know how to use it . then I installed it back . still don’t understand 100% how to use it . But glad I restored it I’m hoping as time goes I will learn how to use it.But right now I am experimenting with it and learning as I go

This app is amazing to use. Honestly I enjoy not bringing my DSLR or Mirrorless body when I don’t have to. My one wish is that this app could Integrate with my Profoto speed lights. This would be the holy grail.

App keeps crashing and opening up to Image Rescue after attempting macro photos. It also makes my 12 pro max get HOTTTT fast.

Hands down best camera app I’ve had, 100% focused on making images better and not on mining information.

I have a iPhone 12 mini the app take a minute to rotate the screen and my flash isn’t flashing when I have my flash on still like the app though.

Halide enables RAW on iPhone. The software provides focus from micro distances to the horizon. Nicely done.

After months of dealing with awful crashes, this update finally fixed it and now the app is usable again 😄

Excellent and simple UI. This is my favorite RAW app and worth every penny. Very easy workflow into Lightroom.

We like the raw file feature. Select focus is also worth the price of the entire app.

Is there any way to get a discount on the lifetime purchase for Christmas?

At the previous, lower price it was reasonable to buy and use a second app for a long exposures but at the current pricing, Halide should at least include a basic version of this feature for use with a tripod.

Hope the UI photo preview could be updated

You still cannot set exposure compensation, iso etc digitally, like a on a numeric pad. Dragging controls may be intuitive but is very slow and imprecise

The App is so simple to use but so powerful the photos that come out especially when edited in Raw power afterwards are unbelievably awesome.

The app is great and just saw the new update of macro photo shot but doesn’t seem to be working comes out with error:/ wondering if I’m the only one having issues with it?

Manual control of parameters is excellent. iPhone 13 Pro LiDAR was preventing max macro performance in the standard iPhone Camera mode. Images not far off from mirrorless full frame dedicated macro lens imaging.

1. Bad UI on restore page 2. Usually no photo preview after taking photo 3. Crashes

It would be nice if there were a configurable Home Screen widget that would open the app to raw capture or macro mode. This is an excellent app but this is a feature that is definitely needed!

Halide turns the iPhone 12 Pro Max into a very capable digital camera. My images are much better at capture, and require less post processing.

Photos often don’t save. Zoom control is always broken if you open it from the lock screen. No idea why this app has so much acclaim.

I thought I was doing a 7 day free trail but got charged $19.99 for yearly subscription with no way to cancel and receive refund. Wouldn’t care if the app was better. Every time I take a photo it says it can’t be saved but it does save it. Manual controls are a PITA to use. I want to do long exposures but get random results. Sometimes you get a long exposure sometimes not. And it just crashed. RAW+ interface is easier to use.

Not happy with the purchase it didn't do much more than what the Apple app already does on the phone just rearranges everything in a different manner wasn't able to get a refund through Apple so once purchased within that 12 hour period I realized I did not want this, and Apple would not give me a refund
