Haven’t had this much fun since MTV Music Generator on the PS1. I came from a free app which offers nearly the same things but you guys have nailed it. I love the haptic feedback. Pls expand on it for the pads too. This is truly next generation. I’m going to make a few tunes before going Sumarai though. Please don’t make this subscription based

I’ve been very excited to work in Koala sampler, and have enjoyed the snappiness of its interface and many of it’s thoughtful features very much. It’s a fast workflow and great for creative momentum. One small note for Cubasis users: make sure if you import large samples that you crop them and save your Koala preset. Cubasis doesn’t like large Koala presets, so cropping and saving will keep Cubasis running smooth as silk! Keep up the great work Marek 👍👍

I cannot express how much this app has rejuvenated my musical output. I also cannot go a day without using it. Best Music app on iOS by far. Thank you Marek. From my understanding it's just you doing the updates to this app. Take your time. I'm willing to be patient for whatever you do to this app.

After dozens of apps, this is the one that really made it easy to create music on my phone/iPad. It’s incredibly intuitive and strikes that balance between simple and powerful. I promise you won’t regret it.

If you’re looking for a sampler app for your iOS device don’t think twice just hit the buy button already! This is hands down the best sampler app on iOS as of today. It’s not a full fledged DAW so temper your expectations. This app does 2 things and 2 things well and as intuitively as possible: sampling and sequencing. That’s all you need to make amazing sample based music.

The developer, Marek Bereza, is top notch!! This isn’t one of those apps you buy and are stuck with til it’s developers happen update it. Marek is very involved with his community of users and after speaking to him personally he has vowed to fix any glitches in his programming as soon as he notices the problem or it’s brought to his attention. I’ve never received a direct response from an app developer and to me that raises Koala Sampler the league of ELITE music apps on iOS! Thanks Marek!!

Every time I open koala it loads for a second but then just crashes. I’ve redownloaded it, restarted my device and everything. I’m on a new generation iPad Air. Any assistance fix or help would be great

Koala is one of my favorite music apps simply because of how quickly I can work in it. I can go from a loose idea to a fairly organized arrangement in no time at all, keep up the great development!!

Nobody will be able to tell you anything close to how great this app actually is. You’d be better off buying an iPad or IPhone specifically for this app, AUM, and Effects than you would be if you were buying the SP404

Incredible. Easy to use. Just the best. I would however echo one suggestion made by another reviewer: Koala would reign supreme if the parameters of effects could be tweaked — if you could changed echo and reverb feedback, if you could EQ, if you could change the the resonance of the filter, if you could tweak the wet/dry of the dub echo (amazing sounding effect, just generally to much wet), etc. Great great tool though. Highly recommend.

Intuitive and sounds great!

I love the app! It just needs loop points and loop mode (forward, reverse, ping pong).

Especially love the beta feature to export as an Ableton drum rack. Really makes moving from phone to laptop to Push totally seamless.

Absolutely great app if you are into sampling and building songs. Two things I need. - can the sample buttons please be numerated? Right now I only see the section I’m in (A,B,C,D) but I have to count the numbers between (1-16). It would make it easier if there would be some index numbers next or on the sample buttons. - I miss a mute and/or volume function for separate channels (or I didn’t find it yet) so I can make my live recordings a little bit more interesting and easier to mix. Ot

Great app for on the go, but after this recent update almost every time it erases all my samples and factory resets the app.

I’m a hardware sampler old head. I love this app. 9 dollars for the app and Samurai Mode, you can’t beat it. Thank you to the dev team, incredible. I sample directly from vinyl via a Roland Go mixer while recording a video. Import the video to Koala for the audio. It’s so good. Transfer beats from your phone to iPad in seconds etc etc. Dive in.

The developer has done a phenomenal job building something fun, inexpensive, beautiful, functional, and of high quality. How often does that happen??? Love this app.

Normally don’t write app reviews but this is the real deal. Literally like having a true MPC app and you can map to pads and MIDI and transfer stems to DAW. Check it out!

This is fire. I use this. Drag into ableton or waves CR8 sampler and boom bass, pad or synth sounds. Thank you for creating this.

Most have already touched on why this app is one of best out there. I concur. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.

One of the new features that were released on August 19, 2022 do not show up for iPad. I’m assuming this is only for iPhone at the moment. When going through multiple import options it still sends you to AudioShare. It does not give you an option to go strictly to your iCloud or google drive. Seems as if you still have to import these sounds into AudioShare to use it.

This app is great! Bravo to the creator, but the full version with all the extras, just the stem separation is worth it alone, this is such a great tool worth cool features. I use this to do prep work for samples. I'm sure there is more to come, I'd the developer pa or more add ons I would buy just to support. This is such a good deal, I love the hands on sample editing and the snap feature when editing, this app has such a good work flow. Still learning it but already loving it

All we need is a mixer so we can add audio units for effects on individual sounds, once that’s available it will be the greatest of all time! 🐐🤞🏾

Make sure you back up your songs. If you save them in the default folder they can all get cleared out of nowhere No Warning!!

Koala sampler will basically be replacing Korg Gadget 2 for me… A $40 app…with pricey add ons. I’m sure I will run into limitations but this has been fun and simple to start up and researching it seems like their is a passion to keep the app felling current with musicians needs

This app is fun, easy to use and extremely powerful!! Awesome DEV, constant updates. Great community. Just freakin awesome!! Highly recommend .

First of all, I really love this app. It’s simple to use and to chop up all of your samples. But I really wish the chops were somewhat color coded.

This app is so well made and continues to be my most used app. For anyone who is even remotely considering this app, stop reading reviews and just get it. You will not be disappointed!
