Fun! Would be more fun if Commander was supported.
Pension zoom preferably but just larger text would also be nice. Thanks for your time.
Since the update before last, the game crashes constantly. Find an opponent, crash; open the store, crash; look at companions, crash. Please fix. I have been playing magic for 24 years, and enjoy arena when I cannot find a local game. The consistency of the crashing is frustrating.
Don't be a silly billy, buy the cards at your local gaming store! Great gameplay and good app. I just don't recommend buying cards... you can easily earn them in-game.
Why is there no brawl events ever? And there needs to be ranked brawl…
You could maybe offer a deconstruction of cards for copies like how am I supposed to use them if I can only have 4
Super frustrating if something happens and you want to contact customer support on the mobile app. Matchmaking is weird I’m gold 4 in draft and just played the number 37 ranked player. The shuffler is weird you need to have a weird land count to play effectively for regular play.
This is the best way to play Magic without physical cards. The only bad thing is they do not keep on top of making sure the software works properly. For example, for years playing Arena on a M1 Mac is cuts off 1/3 of the graphics. There is no way to solve This issue.
always lags out of games, even bought newest phone still crashes all the time.
I love the physical card game more but this is a good way to test decks and teach new players how to play. Also when you get to busy to play the physical card game it helps you play when your busy. I’ve been playing this since the beta version came out.
I’ve been playing since around revised. This game is amazing, and I love that I can play it anywhere and share with my children.
Absolutely love playing MTGA, much batter for me instead of physical magic. The new update that added the inbox was pretty cool especially since we received free items, but now whenever I just think about playing, the game crashes. Like it crashed before but now simply playing an instant makes it crash. I’m still going to play though.
Magic the Gathering is such a fun game that it'd be highly playable in any released form, but this app definitely needs some work. About half the time I try to start an online round, the app crashes. Even some of the offline rounds cause the app to freeze up. HOWEVER, I'm still giving the app four stars because I really appreciate that they don't push microtransactions.
Match ups aren’t Rando. Mostly match with counter decks to mine. What are the odds of no land draw or only land pockets? 20 20 20 are my odds if not 20 25 25. Emotes aren’t disrespectful enough. Overall though it’s fun.
this is my favorite game, i actually prefer the mobile format to pc, but for the love of god please make it so that i can listen to music while the app is open again. with the most recent update you can’t play music even while the game sounds are muted and it makes me not want to play anymore it is driving me insane. thank you.
I love this game! I have been playing it for years, whether, tabletop, or some video game version, I have tackled them all. For the first time, I purchased the mastery pass to grind while I’m on vacation, only to realize I did not get the mythic or uncommon card rewards! What is this? What was the point of buying the pass for if I don’t get the cards that I need to make the OP decks that I want!?! Please fix this! The only reason I bought the mastery pass is for the wildcards!
I just wish there were fewer filler cards in the packs. The rares carry games but they’re so hard to get and even if you get one it’s probably not the one you needed. Fun game though 6/10
I love Magic the Gathering and arena has been super fun… tho recently every time I try to challenge a friend it pops up with an error saying “Unable to load deck” and I’m not even being able to select a friendly brawl format. Has been very frustrating especially trying to submit a bug report… Please fix!
This game is awesome, I can’t put it down!! Very challenging, which I love.
I wish it was a little smoother on the ipad pro. I wish it had replays you could save, and high ranked games/ replays you could watch/ save to your interface. I wish there were more social features with decks that your friends are using and profiles that show off what kind of magic player they are. This game is perfect at it's core but I feel they could do better and I feel there is much room for growth. Great game though. Maybe best game on the app store. If they didn't have so much gosh darn p
This game is great. The shuffle algorithm gets a little funky for any deck over 80 cards but if I can make a suggestion: more missions. It’s hard to earn gold and it’s boring more fun to try and hit the goals. Perhaps the daily +2 or a cycle for the day. They don’t even have to add to the mastery rank but having a reason to keep playing after 15 wins would be nice
I love this game, I play it every morning and love getting knew updates! It’s so fun! One bad thing, I saved up for 5,000 gold to get a deal of 5 planeswalkers! I was so excited to get them! But when I purchased it and claimed them I couldn’t find them anywhere not even in my card collection! It sucked! I was disappointed but it’s still a decent game 😊
I find it easy to maintain a couple of competitive decks without spending money, welcome and rare for f2p games.
I grew up on this game in the nineties. The artwork is out of this world, the graphics and animations during game play are unbelievable. This game could be better, but it is very glitchy. I was in the middle of a battle I was losing then started winning after about ten mins of wild battle and it crashed. I frantically tried to reload the game and it took forever, by the time I got back in the game my opponent had several turns, then they crushed me from the cards they played. Mind you this hap
Ridiculous that you have to buy so many packs for a few wildcards. Other than that it’s a fun game that itches that need to play some magic at your fingertips.
sorry for caps just hope someone will somehow read this and want to add it .. I do think the game is very fun! But PLEASE MAKE IT SO I CAN LISTEN TO MY own music while I’m playing on my iPhone :) thanks. The music stops.. Idk if it was made like that on purpose, so keep it if you want but it’s my opinion to change it 👍
Only thing that would make it better is if there was a code to get something in game when I buy a physical pack. Right now I have to choose either or. Would probably buy more cards in general if it went in both.
The deck shuffler is for sure broken. Prizes are way too expensive. The prize cards you win should be rare and mythic rare more often. You keep playing but the pay off is minimal. If they spent less time on emotes, avatars, pets, deck sleeves, and animation they would realize they need to fix the deck shuffler and improve ways to view and construct decks.
It’s well done! The only thing is the mastery pass is pretty expensive and there is no zoom feature on cards with tiny writing. Otherwise, well done.
Great app. Love being able to play wherever, whenever. Not sure if anyone will actually see this but can we get Draconic Roar in the game? It’s one of my favorite cards ever printed and my dragon deck feels empty without it :(
Game freezes or crashes sometimes. I just aborted a game because I cast a creature with an ability and nothing let’s me select the ability (return creature to owners hand)…. Fix the bugs and you’ll get a better rating. I almost gave it a 2 due to the frustration
Awesome game just wish it had guides for the what cards go to each set
Overall the game is great I also play legends of Runeterra, I think they should change the daily so that even if you lose you still get half a win instead of just winning because the opponent might be using a pre made deck he/she found online
4/5 because I’d still like real chat, and trading. Also, I can’t keep up with spending the money needed just to be relevant. Otherwise it’s awesome.
The game is pretty fun. But 80% of the decks are all the same…white or a variation of white. I am not a fan of the nerf bat but white needs to be smacked around. I still play it but more variation would be great and that does mean toning white down some
If you like to challenge yourself and constantly adapt strategy, then this is your thing
It’s thought me so much.
The best card game. Ever. Sometimes it crashes, though.
It’s free, and you can unlock cards & decks from challenges. Plus, I play my friends who live states away.
Would love some controller support. Especially Backbone.
This game is awesome and free. I love the D&D packs.
4 Negative User Reviews for Magic: The Gathering Arena
Game is honestly frustrating. Games don’t feel authentic, You’re either blowing them out completely or just drawing garbage. I know you can get mana screwed in real life, but something about this online magic hits different. It’s definitely enjoyable to play here and there when you have a moment. Just isn’t fun enough for me to play on a regular basis.
As much as I want to keep supporting this app, it glitches me out of a lot of matches. Currently, I can’t even access the store because every time I click on it, it knocks me out of the app. It’s been great when the app does work but extremely frustrating when you know folks pay a lot of money and invest in the experience to have it be so inconsistent and buggy.
I love magic the gathering. But the shuffling and matchmaking make it so hard to enjoy on the arena online.
Idk if it’s as fun as it used to be
