Thanks for keeping the app size ~20 megabytes. That’s awesome, and way better than that other company’s translator app.

Generally speaking this all is superior to Google Translate but I ran into a very strange issue. When attempting to translate “I love you, brother” from English to Irish, the result was “Fate willed (it) that he should die, ba é an bás a bhí i ndán dó.” This happened every time and only for this specific phrase.

It’s the best one out of all the ones offering the same thing. I tested all of them on free trial prior to attending a lecture in Madrid (in Spanish) — I had to consume information live, fast, and clearly. This app was the only one that was reliable. It recognizes paragraph breaks in speech to feed you one point conveyed at a time in an ingestible feed. I showed the lecturer and the staff: they were all impressed and said “that’s all correct”. It also saves history. I’m sticking with this one. F

Much better app than Google Translate, but please add audio autoplay for the translations!

03/27/24 Microsoft Translator is getting a lot better. I just pasted a short paragraph from a short story in Spanish. So far Microsoft Translator translated it perfectly. I’m very impressed because I tried two other very popular translation apps and they got it wrong. The paragraph was a dialogue of a guy asking a girl if they were still going to the movies. You’re on the right track. Soon, it’ll almost as good as it was 2 years ago… IF you don’t break anything, while fixing bugs.

When will cantonese be available?

Where has this been all my life?! I speak Cantonese and Google Translate still doesn’t have that dialect so now I switched over! The conversation mode is lovely and will be super useful when traveling. Now, please add the feature to translate real time when pointing camera to block of text. Taking a picture of first is cumbersome.

What happened to pinyin!

Hello, I’ve been using the app to listen to what my girlfriends family is saying, but the voice translation automatically stops when someone stops talking for a few seconds. Would like to be able to leave the voice translation on until I press stop. A lot of times the other person is just taking a moment and continues talking and I have to press the translate button a lot. Thanks!

Excellent! keep it word by word. Other apps aren’t accurate like this.

Although many people in Europe speak English, we Americans should be embarrassed to not be multilingual, this was a great resource!

Voice pronunciation accent is really smooth like native speakers. It’s better than google translate voice. One thing, The text exceeded the maximum length of 1000 characters. Please use shorter text. If you can do accept more words like google translate, it would be more perfect.

This translator is great for Brazil Portuguese language It would be better if you had different Italy Italian languages I just love it better than some of the other ones It’s great for all m language I use it for

Has Cantonese!!! No other translator app has that! Will always be downloaded and used on my phone just because of that

When changing languages or settings Microsoft Translate suddenly freezes so I have to restart the app. This never happens with Google Translate. Also, MS lacks support for some moribund languages like Hawaiian and Maori, but for some reason someone felt it important to have Klingon.

I love this app. I’m a medical worker and I patients come to my office of different nationalities. Chinese, Spanish, Arabic. This app really comes handy. When my Russian coworkers talk in their tongue, I just hit the voice button of this app and I can understand behind their back what they’re all talking. Best of all it’s free and I learn in the process.

Tried to upload a PDF from Files. Could not find a means by which to upload any documents from anywhere in the known universe. It was the primary reason I downloaded it. I will be deleting it now. Only Clippy was less useful.
