Is a great app because it has many specialists who can help you with your process and how you can understand step-by-step the introduction to the food again.
I’m so thankful that Monash Univ is doing this research. After my first colonoscopy at 37, my gastro diagnosed me with IBS-C. She handed me a single worksheet with a T-chart of safe/unsafe foods. I felt completely hopeless until I found this app!
I’ve been using this app for many years now. So quick to pull up a food item and check if it’s a red or green item.
This app is out of Australia and often brings up prepared foods that aren’t available in the US. One prepared food, the Fody brand, can be bought on Amazon though it’s very expensive. For 8 dollars they should have a US version. It’s helpful for checking out lots of foods but I often find foods that aren’t listed. Today I looked up baking soda and baking powder. Neither were listed. They should be constantly updating their list. App is helpful but could be better.
I have had this app for years as I was informed it was researched, accurate information. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat many foods the app had as safe. I would look at other sites and find fructose was reported as a problem. Monash has now done further research and changed certain foods from green to red. I hope this helps and I credit them for correcting information. I also realize we all have various degrees of tolerance. I still use this regularly.
I would rate higher but, $7.99 is just a tiny bit much for information that you can find online for free. (As long as your researching properly and not just taking any advice you find online at face value) But I guess here with this App, you’re paying for the convenience of having a lot of info in one easy to search place. Still a useful too though!
Love this app, it makes it so much easier to select food choices for my IBS.
This app has been very helpful in my dealing with IBS-D. It has helped me relieve my symptoms and improve my life a lot. If you have IBS I strongly encourage you to get this app and improve your ability to understand it and control it.
When I first opened the app it was a little confusing, but after two days I am so happy I paid the low one time cost and found a world of assistance and validation for my IBS healing journey. Could use more American certified products. And more American foods tested (black raspberries, Ronzoni gluten free pasta). Hopefully retailers and manufacturers will take note that thousands are waiting for a LowFODMAP label!
So I was diagnosed with ibs for a gastroenterologist I showed her this app and she loves it. Later after doing a colonoscopy I found that it wasn’t ibs but my colon is infected with a bacteria. I’m doing a lot better thankful for the lords hand. But if you have ibs I highly recommend it its worth the money.
Just want to thank the contributors to this app. Very reasonable price and extremely helpful for transitioning to a low-FODMAP diet. Also provides very informative guides for eating out and other lifestyle adjustments.
App looks great but all the foods are categorized by colors of red green and yellow. I’m red/ green colorblind so it’s not very helpful for me :/
Go for a free app this was not worth the cost
This app is the first thing that truly helped get my IBS under control. The traffic light symbol takes the guesswork out of which foods are okay. Well worth the price.
I found this app very helpful there are a few deficiencies which I think will be updated as foods are tested but overall it’s extremely helpful
Been out of work for 2 months so I was very hesitant to spend 8$ but this app makes my life so much better worth every penny. Also wish they would add basic things like what kinda salt and how much but it’s still a very good app.
Would be nice if a list of all food high in a certain category (e.g., fructans) was available to more easily know what to avoid.
This app has helped me more than I can say in the last 3 years. Easy to use and accurate. Only recommendation I have for the developers is to change the cursor color to black in the food search bar. Well worth the purchase price!
As a person with IBS, this app has changed my life. Highly recommend it for anyone attempting the low FODMAP diet. It is easy to use and explains a lot about IBS and how to follow the low FODMAP diet. Totally worth the cost
New to FODMAPs, this explains the processes the gut goes through and why I may react. Easy to use and the guide is a terrific shopping tool.
Somewhat inconsistent and a bit of a pain to use, but much more authoritative than anything else out there. Annoying that their Send Feedback function seems to be broken.
If you have IBS and serious food sensitivities this app can help. However it’s very heavy on prepared processed food and a lot of that is not available in the USA. Many weird foods I never heard of and a lot of basic foods are missing.
It doesn’t setup a profile which will share across devises. It is easier to enter meals on a devise with a larger keyboard and screen but I carry my phone. Trying to remember what I ate until I have the larger device available doesn’t work.
Real science. Clear research. Easy to understand how individual foods impact your body and helps you keep track of symptoms.
I was surprised to see how few foods there are in the database considering the cost. I have found a free version with more general foods. One plus was this app tells you which Fodmaps are in each food item.
The app wasn’t working for some reason. So I updated and I lost all the information that was on my diary that I took so much effort to track!!
The filters do not work. Nothing changes when selecting sensitivity. Also in-app “feedback” button does not work.
Use it all the time. Serving sizes are so important to the success of this diet and are clearly included in the app. Consult when shopping in the supermarket. Thanks.
Following this app to take control of my digestive system. What a life changer. Literally!!
Really helped me clear up my symptoms. Had my first solid bowel in 5 days this am.
It would be nice if this app incorporated barcode scanning like Sift and Shopwell to make finding foods easier.
I would like to have the option of adding pictures to the diary.
Have been following this diet for over a decade. The researchers at Monash University deserve such credit for providing us with this incredibly helpful information about which foods can be problematic. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This app has been very helpful for planning meals, documenting symptoms and conducting a low FODMAP elimination diet
I use this app daily, especially when shopping! Love it!
I rely on this app. It is educational and it has helped me to make better choices. All fruit is not created equal! That is my most important take-away from this app.
If you suffer from IBS and are following a low Low FODMAPS diet you MUST get this app. It is updated often with more foods, has storage for personal information and is simple a life saver for understanding and following the diet!
I thought this app might scan food items in supermarket but it’s more like a difficult to read book wasted my money in this I used to be software executive if developers brought this app to me I would tell them to go back to the drawing board
Love this app. Really worth ot. Helpful to know everything about LowFodmap diet.
This helped me so much in finding out what I can and can’t eat. Thank you!!!
I loved the app and it has been really good for me. I am Brazilian and I live in the USA. It would be nice if you had the option in Portuguese too. thanks.
This app provides very basic information and provides me no relief on how to keep up with a low FODMAP diet. Meal plans are very little and just not worth the price.
Please go back to the old way of entering date and time in the diary. The new way takes 3X as long and three extra steps! 😠
Thought I could scan foods to see if they’re fodmap friendly. This isn’t as helpful as I thought it was.
App crashes. Can’t search foods
