Myst (Legacy) for Mobile App Reviews

Myst was one of my all-time favorite PC games, so I was excited to play this. However, it’s really finicky on an iphone. I’m sure that’s because it’s just a straight port of the PC version and isn’t optimized for a mobile device, but sadly it’s just too hard to play in any serious manner. Finally got an opportunity to beat this game and see the ending, thanks to this mobile version. I was 11 when this game came out, and it was just to hard for me at the time. Thanks for the memories.

Yes the are static 3D pictures but the fact that someone was able to create them gave me happy dreams of the future of gaming graphics. I played the original Myst when it came out. The immersion was amazing. This rendition leaves much to be desired. The graphics are very sub par. I think there must be a bug because I get no sound. It’s basically point and click and mostly a let down. I’d get my money back if I could.

On Mechanical island it locked up when viewing the cobra jack-in-the-box. Can’t view anything else or go back to menu, can’t do anything.
