Qustodio Parental Control App App Reviews

Not sure why but it won’t open for me. It looks updated but no matter what I’m not able to open it (on or off WiFi)

Qustodio has been a blessing for my family. We homeschool and I have Qustodio uploaded to all laptops. It allows me to know how long they stream school. The amount of time they’re on allowed sites. It also allows me to protect them from inappropriate sites. I’m grateful and I have had no issues at all.

We used questido for several years and it helped us to manage the time and content of electronic devices effectively. Their customer service is also very responsive in helping if needed. 🙏🫶

I don’t usually do app reviews. But for this app I want to. It works! It blocks/controlls apps and websites on all devices on all connections (WiFi, cell). It’s not perfect but it does a pretty good job. Things I would improve: allow general household rules so I don’t have to setup the same settings for multiple kids (sleep times, school times, homework times, free time, blocked websites and apps).

Without a doubt, this is the finest application. My mind is now serene, knowing that the children can undertake their homework without any undue distractions. Furthermore, I have the capability to effortlessly oversee their online endeavors and establish necessary guidelines.

It gives me some insight to what my 10 year old is doing. I got it for monitoring content and limiting her time. The app allows her to exceed her time, and does not honor the shut off times (8pm). She can still access games and messenger thereafter, which causes me to have to address the times myself with her.

So, I just paid the premium subscription in order to establish monitoring and rules on my child new iphone. When making the setup, I learn that in order to activate this feature I need to own a Mac computer, as I cannot do it from my phone. It seems there is no issues with android. I just wasted $55 as I need to look for a different option now.

I’ve tried several other apps/programs but found their ability to know what is happening and limit what could happen lacking. Qustodio keeps everything in hand in real time-all searches and sites logged, times tightly controlled, and as long as the machine is connected to the internet, I can make changes on the fly-offer more time or lock it (laptop) down instantly. A game changer for me and my family. I highly recommend it-no need to look elsewhere.

My child had an android and we loved Qustodio. Once they changed to an Apple device the controls were far less useful and location tracking doesn’t work consistently for iOS. I’ve found apps downloaded even though I blocked access to App Store within the Qustodio app. This no longer suits our needs and I’ll be looking to switch before my next renewal

I will agree with other reviewers that the app needs smaller time intervals like 15 minutes…otherwise, it encourages them to be on their phone apps at times they shouldn’t. If his phone won’t turn on until 20 minutes into his lunch, and still be on 20 minutes into the next class, what do you think will happen? One more day left into my short 3 day trial…I’m looking at other options.

I tested the app with some nasty language and it did not make a report to the parent app. But when sending “ok” it flagged the word “ok”. Also not all calls and messages are listed. Some do get listed and some don’t. This app does not feel secure as a parent.

It will block sites you specify, bug usage isn’t obvious and you have to know the sites to block. Not very intuitive to see websites your kiddo is using

We had another parental control app on my son’s phone and iPad for years, but it was starting to glitch so I did some research and found Qustodio. In the last month since we paid for the premium plan, my son has been able to easily find the app and delete it. That was not possible on the other apps. I’ve tried to contact the customer service and even when I log into the main site, to contact them through keep in touch it says I have an invalid password, even though it shows my name in the top ri

I don’t like that I can’t connect the device to my own internet once connected to this application. I like my internet controls easier than this app but this is nice when not on the internet.

Feature that allows for time control of applications applies only to browser accessed games and apps. It doesn’t apply to locally installed programs. This limitation was entirely unclear at time of purchase. Misleading.

I started using this app to keep my daughter’s phone usage and restrictions more accurate than the Apple family screen time. She’s able to delete the app or somehow work around the restrictions. This is with the paid premium subscription. Disappointing.

I got this to work on my kids iPhone and Chromebook. Trouble is the iOS version can’t actually block apps just their internet connection. This means apps with offline connect continue to work etc. back to Apple screentime!

Can’t keep the profile on his iPad. I’m in tech and this shouldn’t happen; kid is handy with a keyboard. Reinstalled on his device 3x. Immediately removed. VPN can be turned off on his end, which shuts down the MDM immediately. Pls fix or refund.

If you are thinking of canceling make sure to do it before the auto renew date otherwise you will have to pay for the whole year anyway. I didn’t receive notice of the auto renewal and canceled after my daughter got a new iPhone. Unfortunately it happened to be a few days after the auto renew date and I was charged for the whole year anyway. No refund for the remaining 11.75 months of no service. Device was also glitchy and easily disabled by my kids.
