16 Positive User Reviews for Slør

Great software

Elegant, effective and useful software. Lovely bokeh effects. Don't know if it possible to record in RAW but that would be extremely valuable. Also, would be nice to get rid of that ghetto shutter animation. Unnecessary and a little annoying. But, a fantastic piece of software and definitely worth $3. Would pay more for software which allowed me to edit the depth map when the iPhone gets it wrong.

Apple should buy this and make it part of iOS!

This is awesome! So many of my portrait photos were “OK” and this app made it easy to improve them with just a tap. I didn’t read much about this before downloading and thought it would let me edit the depth map itself (like a photoshop mask or something). What it does is actually a totally different approach, and while less powerful than what I expected, it works wonders!

Absolutely Amazing - plus some feedback

This app is crazy amazing. Agree with another reviewer that it would be great though if saving changes didn’t clear the “portrait” tag. It would also be great to toggle before/after somehow, and be able to save a new copy of the photo rather than edit the existing (esp due to it wiping the portrait tag). Also what is the relevance of the size of the yellow box, if any? The size of the radial circle seems to have an immediate effect, but not the box in aperture mode.

A Must Have - 5/5

Being able to edit portrait mode photos is something Apple should have brought natively to iOS, but since they haven’t this app is the perfect companion for any casual or pro photographer using any Plus/X model. Thank you for your response, developer! You told me something I wasn’t aware of. This app is so good Apple decided to implement this functionality in iOS 12 and the latest iPhone XS. For those with older devices with a dual camera setup it’s a must have.

The Airbrusher.....

This is just so AWESOME !

Not bad but found one major bug

Had this since day one and overall it’s good but I’ve been using Focos for its advanced options. On iOS 13 with iPhone 11 Pro the photo browser won’t load the image I select when full screen forcing me to use the mini browser to find the image which takes much more work.

Can’t delete edited / stock photos

Would be perfect if you could delete the pile of stock photos/photos you’ve edited that accumulate on the bottom of the screen. (Unless I missed something) Takes up a lot of memory and is annoying. (Why would I want to see or edit stock photos?)

Phenomenal use of depth data

The app accesses the depth data that's stored in the Portrait Mode photos and allows you to alter the aperture and other traits to, ultimately, enhance the depth of field / bokeh. Slør works perfectly and I love it.

Easy buy for anyone with a Plus phone (or X)

I’ve tossed a bunch of Portrait Mode photos because they subject moved after it locked focus and blurred. This app RESCUES those photos and makes the good ones even better!

wow ✨

love this concept, only feedback right now is that i wish i could tap on the photo to see the original for a few seconds like you can when editing inside the  photos app. but yeah, this is very cool—and incredibly handy.

Please let me manually edit depth maps.

Sometimes portrait mode gets the depth of things around complex shapes wrong, and it would be really great if I could manually fix these errors so I could easily perfect my portrait photos.

hack portrait mode!

glad someone made this! been looking for a way to increase/decrease the bokeh effect.

Editing depth maps would be sweet

I’m enjoying this app, but it would be nice if it was possible to edit the depth maps. Not sure if this is even possible, given the exposed APIs. But then I could fix the little problems that Portrait Mode has with determining depth layers.

I don’t understand

It seems to me that this app may have have been useful for previous iPhones but with the new adjustable aperture functions in the new iPhones, on my max it kind of seems pointless.

Love this app!

This app allows me to take photos from ok to wow!

Solid Aperture App

Great app for crazy aperture gimmicks that can turn out pretty decent. *10/2/2019 with new iOS update the save button has been wonky to find at times, rendering the app useless. Weird, just wanted to suggest figuring out that bug.
