The only issue I have is that when switching tabs for different conversations, the categories don’t stay on the conversation. If you change the tab from one and start a new conversation using a different category, then switch back to the other conversation, the categories are still on the previous conversation. So you have to keep changing them. It would be great to have the categories change with the conversations tabs.
This wonderful tool has provided me, someone who doesn’t have a voice, with a way to easily communicate with others. It’s perfect for my needs. Highly recommended.
It will be helpful if I can move the position of phrases or categories by dragging the button.
I am occasionally nonverbal due to being autistic; I love that I can customize this as needed, and add lots of words or phrases specific to my line of work. I recommended to a friend of mine; that for a kid we can start with pictures, add words as they grow older, then add more complex sentences even later on. Thank you! I recommend adding a shortcut to the Control Panel, so we can quickly get to it from another app, rather than have to access only from the Home Screen.
I love this aac app so much. I have been using it for almost 3 years now. I’ve been customizing it that entire time as well. The only thing I wish was that I could upload png to the buttons for the icons. They always come out with a white or black background
I have tried so many apps since losing my voice, but this app has allowed me to have my words heard over the phone, in meetings, and even in zoom calls. I love it💗
I am so grateful for and delighted by Speech Assistant! I have been using it for years, and it is reliable, never seems to break, and gets better and better over time. The developers are responsive, and do a fantastic job of listening to the aac-using community and adding desired features. While I am a regular aac-user, this week my spouse had laryngitis. She already had this app on her phone because I had set it up, and so she was ready to go, and able to continue on with all her communication
you cant send the voice message to whatsapp, i have linked my elevenlabs api , there should be button on main menu that let you send the text to speech to WhatsApp chat
Having lost my ability to speak, this app has saved my personal and professional lives!! I couldn’t be more grateful!! Highly recommend!!
Wow! Super helpful!!!
Literally a lifesaver for someone with ALS. Can now communicate with medics, doctors, nurses, family and strangers during emergencies. App is easy to use. Offers options for customization. Highly recommend!
I praise this app and the developer who made but this one surpasses them. I have a rare disease called Kearns Sayre Syndrome. My speech is really complicated and compressed more now verbally. I used this app for everyday living. Make sure you buy the whole version and upgrade to pro to unlock all its features it has to offer.
Worth every penny! I lost my speech due to ALS, and this is by far my favorite app for speech. It’s great for saving custom phrases , works like a dream on iPhone and iPad, and is fabulous for phone calls! I use it for all my work meetings by dialing in with my cell phone and it seamlessly speaks for me. Everyone I’ve used it with so far absolutely loves it as much as I do. Its been a lifesaver for my career!
I really like SpeechAssistant, as a part time AAC user! I’m also visually impaired so the customization of this app is extremely helpful. One thing is that I wish is that this app could control an AI device (eg. Echo, Echo Dot, or Google products). I’ve tried and the speech has to be slowed down a little bit for my Echo Dot to pick it up. I also wish this app had more symbols to it, for example, things like “stop”, “no”, “yes”, “I like/I don’t like” and so on. I just wish this had more symbols f
I have tried so many apps since losing my voice, but this app has allowed me to have my words heard over the phone, in meetings, and even in zoom calls. I love it💗
This app has been a huge help to me after I permanently lost my ability to speak in January. It is very user friendly and easy to personalize. I really like the feature where the text can be shown in large print. I had used a similar app that allowed me to use my own pre-recorded voice, but I ended up coming back to Speech Assistant AAC due to its ease of use. This is the best app I have ever used! It has truly been a blessing.
Having Bulbar ALS. This is extremely helpful. When using over the phone, the other party should be apprised that you are using this aid I’ve been very satisfied Why doesn’t it display as a purchased app in App Store?
I have ALS, and have lost my ability to speak. This app offers so many options that have made my life much easier. I can now talk on my phone using the app and it works great! I love how I can save my thoughts and share them with others later. I definitely recommend it.
I am autistic, and have been using Speech Assistant on various devices for over a year now. I don’t know how my life would be without it. So customizable and efficient to use. So many wonderful features. Thank you. I do have one request: I don’t know if this is even possible, but it would be amazing if I could listen to music and use the app on the same device at the same time. For example, if I only had my phone with me, and I wanted to listen to Spotify, but I also had to communicate, inste
I am a speech pathologist, and I want to thank the developer for creating this app. I recommend this app to all of my speech/language impaired patients who require AAC. It is simple and easy to use and the price doesn’t break the bank (many of my patients live on a fixed income). Thank you for restoring communication for many people with communication disorders.
This is a great app and really easy to use! The only thing that would make it better is if the user could also hear the audio output during phone calls. It’s strange to not be able to hear your own side of the conversation during a phone call.
This is great app! It can be customized to suit yourself and is very powerful.
I love this app! It works so well for me. I have Parkinson’s and it’s really messed with my speech. I also live with people who are hard of hearing. This app is easy to access and use. It helps me to get my message out.
I work for a nonprofit that supports people with ALS,and I help with communication support. I have recommended this app to hundreds. It's intuitive and feature rich. And I'm constantly delighted with new functionality, clearly incorporating user feedback. THANK YOU!!

It takes time to learn how to use the app. However, syncing from iPad to iPhone isn’t happening. I created a personal tab with phrases in an orderly fashion but when I sync the tab doesn’t show up.
