I really dig this app.
Helps me a ton with tracking progressive overload, especially for accessories where you don’t remember last times sets/reps/weight as well as compounds. UX critique: rather than entering RPE in when inputting sets/reps (which I usually do in advance), have the app prompt for RPE after marking a set done since that’s when you’ll know how hard it was
Literally every image of someone lifting in the app is a man. And every image of someone doing band work or an altered/easier form of the exercise is a woman. Besides the blatant misogyny here, the app is useful.
Love this app! Been using the Pro version for a couple of months. I just recently started adding Myo Reps and Myo Rep Match sets to my training. May I suggest you guys look into a feature to add those in a future update? They’re basically “sub sets” or “cluster sets”, similar to drop sets I suppose (which I know you can add). Either way, the app is great and easy to use!
I use the free version and love how it tracks my lifts. Shows your previous lift while you work out so you know exactly where you are and what you need to do. 5 stars.
While I do love the String app for workout tracking, it frequently deletes my saved templates. I assume it’s a bug and am hopeful the team will fix it soon. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.
Love this app. Does exactly what I need. Have tried every app out there. This is the one. To be a subscription is a crime. Come on, devs. $30 a year. Go to the gym for me
The timer and the title of my current workout would be nice.
This would be a solid 5 star if you could sync to your garmin watch/app. Please update it and the review will jump up.
This is great for tracking workouts and creating your own templates. It could use some more exercises but you can add your own.
Great app, only thing i want if for yall to add the weight lifted ability to workouts like pull ups, i weight 180, i did 10 reps, 1800 lbs, doesnt seem hard but for some reason those workouts dont add to my workout. Thanks.
It periodically deletes I’ve created. I pay for the app. I try to create numerous workouts and after so many it tells me I need to pay to do that. I DO PAY!
Very helpful to track my workout. I also use the rest timer a lot and love to have the feature for a default rest time timer activated every time I mark a set as complete. Thanks.
I like the fact it remembers the data from the last time I did an exercise and prefills. I don’t like subscription pricing. Let me buy the app and be done.(and not for $100) I know that is how everything is now but I don’t like it.
This app is fantastic overall. A couple of months ago, I reported a few issues with various exercises and features, and was told they would be addressed in the next update. However, I notice that the app hasn’t been updated in over 8 months as of April, compared to previous update schedule of monthly. Is this app being maintained? I would love to become a subscriber, but I’m hesitant at the moment due to the seemingly unresolved issues. Thank you.
The app is fantastic in many many ways. It’s my favorite workout tracking app. However, it drains your battery faster than YouTube or even many games. It drains it at about 1% a minute. It’s so bad that even if you have the phone plugged in, the phone will not charge.
Simple interface Progress tracking Apple Health integration Rep weight calculations (1 rep max, etc.)
The iPhone app is exactly what I want in a tracker, but the syncing with the Apple Watch works 50% of the time, at best. It either fails to sync at all, or shows it’s own workout being tracked separate from what I got going on with the iPhone. When the tracking does pick back up, it erases all the inputs I put into my phone. The Apple Watch UI also shows the wrong timer, either being too far ahead, or behind what the timer. should actually be. Fix the Apple Watch syncing and we got a 5 out o
Love the app… but for years the iOS app hasn’t been able to turn existing exercises into supersets. It’s irritating knowing that android versions of the app and the Apple watch have this functionality and the iOS version doesn’t. It’s been long enough to resolve the issue, come on guys.
I used it even when the user interface was trash. Like 5 years ago it was really bad design wise, but was amazing for what it was. Now it looks clean and the ux is awesome. Glad to be back
The app is very simple and has many of the basic exercises. Though I would recommend them to add a dark mode or a grey mode because the very bright white color is burning my eyes.
This tracker could use some more exercises or the ability to add custom names and exercises. Besides that suggestion I love this app and haven’t bothered to look for something better after finding this. Transfers seamlessly between android and iPhone as well. I would actually give you guys some money if you had a cheaper option. Honestly I don’t need any of your pro features and I’m content with what I have but I’ve used this app enough I would give you $50 for a lifetime unlock just to support
I find this app easy to use and better than the dozen or so others that I’ve tried. My only wish is an easy way to capture and analyze the complete logs of all workouts and exercises. I can easily export individual workouts but not the entire history that I can analyze on my computer. The tracking within the app is decent enough for basic tracking purposes but is not flexible enough for someone like me who likes to slice and dice the history and trends. Keep up the good work developers and
Quick way to add exercises Used for a week so far
Great app, I use it everyday and love it. You should add live activities for iOS 16 for rest timers and current set info.
The feature where you look at your best sets is incredibly broken. The 1rm max estimates make no sense. Sometimes the same set will show up multiple times sometimes even as all 12 entries in the list. Oftentimes the same set will show up twice with a different 1rm max estimate for each one. You can even do a set of 1 and have the 1rm estimate be different from the actual weight.
Been using this app for a while. Although it needs updated with more exercises, machines, etc, it does what one needs.
Really love the app but the watch app is utter garbage. It just doesn’t work other than giving me a somewhat delayed heart beat indicator.
You only get 3 free workout templates before you have to pay money. But it does a great job at showing your weights from previous workouts during current work out.
Have used this app for years but recently the app timer has been off and not updating when I start my workout.
Overall this works well. I have one suggestion for improvement- integration with other apps. Not sure which end it is on, but basic calorie estimation for workouts that port over to the Apple health app and then to nutrition apps. or even directly into other apps would be awesome if that is possible.
been using the free version for 4 years and 300+ workouts and absolutely love it
Used the free version, found it useful enough to purchase. A few updates since purchased making it even more useful. Highly recommend.
Love the app for tracking workouts and improvement metrics. Way easier than pencil/paper. My one critique would be that I’ve had the app (paid version) for over a year and a half, and I was hoping that more exercises would be added to the catalog of different movements. The current list is pretty good, but I know there are a lot more movements out there. Please add more content here.
I've tried many other apps over the last 5 years, and I've now been using Strong for 1 year. Strong is flat out the best fitness app for anyone that does lifting. Fantastic all around, beyond satisfied!
I have tried SO many apps and this is honestly the best one. Super intuitive and has so many functions even just with the free version you get so much. Investing in pro is also definitely worth the money. Tha only suggestion I have is to have a calendar view of the month to see my past workouts or future workouts (or cals and weight tracking) in a calendar view. Just a suggestion but the lack of this function does not take away from how great this app is! Thanks creators!
I’ll caveat everything y saying I use the free version. It’s a good app, but I hate that you can’t pre-build your workout. The option is to “Start Workout” which syncs to my watch as though I’m working out, but I have to adjust the start time and then it no longer tracks real-time. I seriously just want to log my sets, reps, and weights, but that feature means I’m adding things on the fly while in the gym. It’s a lose lose at that point.
Really need import/export functionality so we can back up locally and recover. I’ve used for a very long time now, just not seeing much improvements and the watch app has never worked right for me.
This app is amazing. Beautifully designed and works perfectly every time. I’m using the free version now but would love to go to premium just to support them because truly, what an amazing product!!
So many valuable features including rest timer… take your time to figure out all of the features it really has everything you need and if a particular exercise isn’t available you can create your own.
Excellent workout tracker, constant updates, and Apple Watch support is top notch. Buy the premium edition it’s worth it
The app is really easy to use though it is missing some exercises
I use this app everyday to track my workouts and it has so many great features. One of my favorite things is being able to track and log sets directly through my Apple Watch! I can’t vouch for other apps but this is a game changer. I really have no complaints, especially for the free version.
I love the app so much! Super simple and easy to use! I have only one suggestion, including a plate calculator would make working out so much easier as I wouldn’t have to constantly switch between my workout and the calculator app.

I accepted this app at what I thought was a one month free deal, it immediately charged me $29.99. I thought it was my mistake, that it was $29.99 per year. I then got charged for 2 more months!!! One per month for 3 months. I went to site to confirm cost, there is NO information on cost!!! It’s only an OK app, but no way is it worth the money they charge! Be careful before you start using this app!
