10% Happier

Hello, I have been starting my day doing the meditation exercises for several years now. The meditation teachers are great each with unique skills, they help me to feel more centered, help me to deal with daily stress & improve my sense of well being. Diane

Favorite meditation app

I am a long time meditator. I discovered this app a couple of years ago. I love all the offerings. Great guided meditations, wonderful courses and podcasts!

Stale content

I’ve always loved the app, for being intuitive and because there were new meditations at least twice a month if not more. That frequency has dribbled off and I’m not sure if the app is worth continuing to pay for since competitive apps add new meditations more frequently.

Excellent app

I really like Dan's "skeptic's" approach to meditation. I was skeptical of the app, but that was unwarranted. I love seeing Dr Richie and others I know in the meditation world in this app. And this is maybe the only app that considers mindfulness logged in Health with some other app, which I really appreciate. Every other app wants to lock you into their app. So if you meditated at a retreat and logged it, most would say you missed a day, even though your experience was 10x better than using an

Please Fix These Minor Issues

1.) The app only works when the screen is on/unlocked. When my screen goes to sleep the meditation I’m doing pauses, then I’m unable to play the meditation from the Lock Screen (I have to open the phone again). 2.) Unlike a podcast (or any audio/video content), I have to unmute my phone to hear the meditations. My phone is always on silent. It’s an unnecessary step to unmute my phone for every meditation. Otherwise, I enjoy the app.

Meditation made accessible

Such a great site..using it for 2 years now. It’s real-life, modern-day application of meditation really helps me relax, focus on what I want to focus on, and to quiet my monkey mind. This is the one app you should get!

Life changing

It may seem excessive to say this, but using the app to meditate has changed my life for the better. I now meditate for at least 10 minutes every morning, usually from my list of favourite meditations. Many of the podcasts address issues I’m dealing with in my life.

I do love the app and its content, but a lot of glitches

I love listening to the podcasts ad-free and the guided meditations. There is a lot of wonderful content and I think Dan does a fabulous job. I have a new phone, but more often than not I have to quit the app because there are a lot of glitches, such as not playing anything when it says it is, the dial will be moving but there is silence, or the app stops playing when I lock my phone. Again, I have to quit the app. I haven’t experienced this issue in any of my other apps.

A great way I start my day!

Every single time I open my app I am able to soak in wisdom and good things to take me through the day. I’m on year 3 and I’m still learning and growing in mindfulness. What a gift to this crazy world.

IMO the quality of instructors and meditation guidance on 10% is hands down the best. I have tried other meditation content and it just doesn’t measure up.

Easy meditations

This app makes meditating so much easier. I enjoy how some are as quick as 3 minutes, some 10 making it easy to stick with a routine that fits my life.

Obsessed

I am a NYC trauma and eating disorder psychotherapist with my own past filled with trauma, dysfunction, abandonment, etc… I am obsessed with the podcast and meditation and Dan makes it user friendly not scary male/men feeling. Love everything about it! Thank you Jess

Best meditation app

I’ve been meditating for about 5 years, and I’ve tried 3 different apps. All 3 are great, and I occasionally, albeit rarely, go back to the other 2. 10 percent happier has had the greatest impact on my meditation practice.

Grateful for this app!

I started using this app just over a year ago and am so grateful for the meditations, the courses, and the podcasts! I’ve used, and enjoyed, other meditation apps, but I really think TPH has been the best fit for me, in terms of making it easy for me to “begin again” when I skip a few days. I like the way it feels to become familiar with the different styles of the different teachers, and I feel encouraged to explore and learn more!

Life changing

This has truly changed my life. In ways I hoped for and slightly expected, and other ways, too. I went from constantly anxious and at odds with myself...worrisome, stressed and unable to handle the standard “bad news”. Because of Dan, and this app, I’ve been able to move through several big life events over the past year with a bit more ease and clarity, and even less anxiety.

The format is the perfect size to ingest an idea and then meditate in a guided format on what it means, means to you, or is important. So many options and such and easy way to pickup knowledge while off loading anxiety. I came to meditation because of my anxiety and what builds up when I stray from meditation. I honestly never thought I could slow my brain down, or my constant need to be doing something, always thinking about tomorrow and I have not truly appreciated the present moment, today. My brother shared this app with me to try for 30 days. Wow….I am totally enjoying the app and the fact that I can “learn” and “practice” the art of mindfulness and meditation if you just stop and try it!

Wanted to love it

I love Dan Harris and follow him on social media and I really really really wanted to love this app but I could not even get through the first minute and a half of the first meditation because the guy in the meditation was so annoying both in sound and cadence.

Not for me but maybe for you???

I mainly use the app for guided sleep meditation. I think it comes down to personal preference if you want to select this app to pay a subscription it’s your coin. I personally don’t like how the guides talk in a normal voice volume. Something about that asmr whisper would always hit different. Also I have used other apps that play a background tune during the guided meditation so that when the person stops talking there isn’t a void. Initially I didn’t mind the silence after each pause but then
