I liked the former format better that didn’t try to set up a personalized program.
Such a great way to live through mindfulness!! It doesn’t get any better than the Happier App!!
It is nice to enter my day with a clear mind, I started doing this meditation for a challenge through my work. But now I will continue to practice mediating as a part of my daily routine.
I have been having chronic pain issues for years. I’ve done multiple mind/body strategies and many of them have been helpful. But I finally realized the connection when I started listening to the Podcasts and meditating with the Happiness app that I started to see real progress. An over-aroused nervous system (due to childhood trauma or whatever it is due to) sets off the immune system that then manifests itself in the body in multiple places. These practices are easier to do and maintain bec it shows that mindfulness can be done in every day routines and not just always in a secluded, quiet area.
Haven’t used this app for long but love the simple easy meditations without judgement of doing right or wrong. Very gentle and helpful

Using 10% happier over the last year has created a relief over my distorted thinking, giving me the ability to go beyond the APP and practice mindfulness meditation on a whim. I now use it as needed to calm myself ithroughout the day throughout an hour, dealing with the chaos that life dishes out.

I’m relatively new to meditation, having been consistent for about two years now. This app really resonated with me the most, after having tried the others available. Sometime I just use the timer but often I’ll choose a guided meditation based on the curated content themes. I also love the podcast and short talks with meditation included. Dan Harris has created something that has touched the lives of those who might not otherwise have found these effective, ancient practices! Thank you Da
I have used this for a few nights now and it has worked well for the most part. This app is great, but a lot of the options are locked behind a subscription. So I only have one sleep option to choose from. I understand the need to make money, but I wish that there were more options for people who don’t pay any money.
I have used the app for 3 years and use it every day. I look forward to a quick 5 minute refresher or 25 minutes to calm down and refresh, whatever might be needed at that time! I listen to every podcast while walking my dog and always seem to send them to friends! I use a lot of the information with clients as I know the resources are researched and legitimate! I love the meditations in this app. The teachers are top notch, the multiple time amounts are so helpful for busy days when I only have 5-minutes. Lately, I’ve also been enjoying the podcasts especially as I try to find more uplifting content to challenge my thinking while filling up my heart.
I’ve been a Ten Percent Happier user since the Spring of 2020 when I retired from dentistry at age 79. My meditation practice has been very regular and successful. I’ve tried all the Meditation apps that are out there and really one of the hardest parts for me is choosing a meditation to do on a certain day. I get overwhelmed by decision-making. I absolutely love Ten Percent happier daily dose, where they choose the Meditation for you. you just choose the amount of time, you can give to it. It’s great cause sometimes all I have is five minutes but it’s time well spent. I also loved Dan Harris’s podcast.
Hello, I have been starting my day doing the meditation exercises for several years now. The meditation teachers are great each with unique skills, they help me to feel more centered, help me to deal with daily stress & improve my sense of well being. Diane
I am a long time meditator. I discovered this app a couple of years ago. I love all the offerings. Great guided meditations, wonderful courses and podcasts!
I’ve always loved the app, for being intuitive and because there were new meditations at least twice a month if not more. That frequency has dribbled off and I’m not sure if the app is worth continuing to pay for since competitive apps add new meditations more frequently.
I really like Dan's "skeptic's" approach to meditation. I was skeptical of the app, but that was unwarranted. I love seeing Dr Richie and others I know in the meditation world in this app. And this is maybe the only app that considers mindfulness logged in Health with some other app, which I really appreciate. Every other app wants to lock you into their app. So if you meditated at a retreat and logged it, most would say you missed a day, even though your experience was 10x better than using an
1.) The app only works when the screen is on/unlocked. When my screen goes to sleep the meditation I’m doing pauses, then I’m unable to play the meditation from the Lock Screen (I have to open the phone again). 2.) Unlike a podcast (or any audio/video content), I have to unmute my phone to hear the meditations. My phone is always on silent. It’s an unnecessary step to unmute my phone for every meditation. Otherwise, I enjoy the app.
Such a great site..using it for 2 years now. It’s real-life, modern-day application of meditation really helps me relax, focus on what I want to focus on, and to quiet my monkey mind. This is the one app you should get!
It may seem excessive to say this, but using the app to meditate has changed my life for the better. I now meditate for at least 10 minutes every morning, usually from my list of favourite meditations. Many of the podcasts address issues I’m dealing with in my life.
I love listening to the podcasts ad-free and the guided meditations. There is a lot of wonderful content and I think Dan does a fabulous job. I have a new phone, but more often than not I have to quit the app because there are a lot of glitches, such as not playing anything when it says it is, the dial will be moving but there is silence, or the app stops playing when I lock my phone. Again, I have to quit the app. I haven’t experienced this issue in any of my other apps.
Every single time I open my app I am able to soak in wisdom and good things to take me through the day. I’m on year 3 and I’m still learning and growing in mindfulness. What a gift to this crazy world.
This helps with small steps that will hopefully lead to big changes over time.

IMO the quality of instructors and meditation guidance on 10% is hands down the best. I have tried other meditation content and it just doesn’t measure up.

This app makes meditating so much easier. I enjoy how some are as quick as 3 minutes, some 10 making it easy to stick with a routine that fits my life.

This app has changed my life
I’ve been meditating for about 5 years, and I’ve tried 3 different apps. All 3 are great, and I occasionally, albeit rarely, go back to the other 2. 10 percent happier has had the greatest impact on my meditation practice.
I started using this app just over a year ago and am so grateful for the meditations, the courses, and the podcasts! I’ve used, and enjoyed, other meditation apps, but I really think TPH has been the best fit for me, in terms of making it easy for me to “begin again” when I skip a few days. I like the way it feels to become familiar with the different styles of the different teachers, and I feel encouraged to explore and learn more!

I love Dan Harris and follow him on social media and I really really really wanted to love this app but I could not even get through the first minute and a half of the first meditation because the guy in the meditation was so annoying both in sound and cadence.
I mainly use the app for guided sleep meditation. I think it comes down to personal preference if you want to select this app to pay a subscription it’s your coin. I personally don’t like how the guides talk in a normal voice volume. Something about that asmr whisper would always hit different. Also I have used other apps that play a background tune during the guided meditation so that when the person stops talking there isn’t a void. Initially I didn’t mind the silence after each pause but then
