It is hoped that the automatic sorting feature for lists can be added, which allows sorting by list content, tags, and other criteria. Thanks
Please make the upcoming section to the Apple Watch App too, not only Today. For example when nothing today, I want to see what’s next or after today tasks, pleeeeeease
This app would be a perfect app if you could add photos, files, links, etc. That is a major issue for me.
Try this after Todoist and you'll wonder how they made the same thing without the bloat and subscription
I’ve tried every major to do app there is, and then some. I always come back to Things. The UI is simply the most beautiful, and the workflow just makes sense.
It does most of what you’d think a top-tier task manager should do and for a low one-time fee, thankfully. Things3 is pretty easy to navigate and after a couple of days I was used to it. The movement of data around is fast and smooth, very fluid, that part of the experience is excellent.
Things 3 is so well made, easy to use, and very powerful. It has made managing all of the Things I need to do in my life so much easier.
God Bless Culture Code. The Best in Town. G
Simple and functional. No subscription pricing. Best todos management on iOS platform
Need ability to attach files - I often have tasks related reading or reviewing a document. I want to create it on my Mac, read it later from my iPhone. Comments area - a dedicated space in the task where I can add updates to the task in the form of comments. So, I can go back and look at the activity for that task without completing it.
I don’t use it in a very sophisticated way. I just make lists and check things off. I like how easy it is to re-order items on the list by priority. It hasn’t revolutionized the way I keep track of tasks, but it works better than miscellaneous pieces of paper on my desk.
I have been using this app for personal organization for some years now(since the download was free). I recently started a job with a dedicated cell line and tried other apps to manage my tasks, but none of them would suite. The charge for the app is well worth it to ensure that your tasks and projects stay up to date, organized, and that nothing falls through the cracks. For proper use of this app and to understand the underlying principles behind it, I recommend reading Getting Things Done by
You won’t find an organization app with this attention to detail on aesthetics and ease of use. With all of that, it’s still good for power users. I came from a much more complicated app and this one allows to be more organized and gives me a great birds eye view of all my projects.
I firmly appreciate this app for smart design and features. Its sorta understandable that paid app charges again for desktop version (iPad too i think) but with that being the case: my one major wish/request is that developers produce options for proper WIDGET for anyone working on desktop mac, maybe iphone too. Rake in your earnings sure, but please consider the suggestion. Would give 5 stars for that! Cheers!
Phenomenal organizational tool.
Things really is the best. Simple, minimalist, clean, easy. And believe me, I’ve tried all the others. It bugs me how Things does not have an app for Windows. I’ve paid hundreds on subscriptions with other to do apps that are compatible with Windows. But still, they are not as good and clean. With that said, I still come back to Things. Because it’s best by a mile.
I love this app so much I switched from Todoist which I’d been using for the past couple years. There are a number of reasons I now prefer Things, but here are some of the big ones: the layout is simple but beautiful, much better than Todoist’s; when I don’t complete a task it automatically reschedules it, whereas in Todoist I had to do it manually. That’s all that comes to mind but in general I just like Things a lot more.
On the iPhone widget, the + button for adding a new item to the Inbox doesn’t work. It used to open the new task modal, now it just opens the Inbox. Please fix that as the widget is harder to use without it. Otherwise, great product. Keep up the great work!
The app is great. The widgets and complications don’t update unless you click on them which defeats the purpose of having them. Really hard for me to give this a 4 star.
Would be nice to have both calendar and reminders in one widget. Opening the to look at your schedule was cool in 2016, lol! *NOTE TO DEVS* Yes it CAN absolutely be done, Fantastical does it and so do a couple of other ones. However I prefer the layout of your app. C’mon, you can do this.
This is the world’s best development and UX team. I’m in awe of how many small things are delightful.
Would be nice to have both calendar and reminders in one widget. Opening the to look at your schedule was cool in 2016, lol!
This app is helping me organize my life, things I would usually forget. Instead of procrastinating, I have a future folder that is able to remind me of due dates, projects, and tasks I usually just store in the back of my brain!
Please add a “all” view. It’s simple and intuitive. Quick and easy way to do things (no pun intended).
Add Image &/or file capability! please, please, please!!
Not much to say really. I have been using Things 3 to keep my life in order for years. It’s an absolute joy to use, and I look forward to using for years to come. One of the best pieces of software I’ve ever seen.
Love that they were extremely fast to add Lock Screen widgets for iOS 16!
구독도아닌데 이렇게 좋다니...
is there a way to share a Things file to someone who also has the app?
This app can be as simple or complex as you need it to be. The biggest difference for me is adding thoughts and ideas quickly to Things-3, instead of keeping them in my head; over analyzing them and consequently not getting anything done
I hate the new widget and today they eliminated the old widget. I guess it’s time to use a different app. // Updated: Yes, it has reappeared. +2 stars Wish it hadn’t disappeared in the first place. I can see the writing on the wall. It’s clear I’ll have to plan for that feature to be deemed obsolete and eliminated at some point.
This app has changed my life, and that’s not even a stretch. I’m a first year nursing student and having this app sync from my watch to my phone and Mac has already proven incredibly helpful with setting tasks for the day and knowing what I have coming in the future. On top of that it helps valence the rest of your life at the same time. For myself Things is a game changer for productivity.
Would like option to replace title of TODAY with todays actual date. I often forget the date while adding tasks to the Today list. I shouldn’t have to leave app to find date. Thx
This app is great. German engineering at its finest. Worth the cost ten times over.
I have been using this app daily ever since I downloaded it. I used to be an unorganized person who always forgot dates and important tasks. After I got married, I decided to try my best and get myself in order. This app has changed me into an organized person and I hope more people can find and use this app to get more done. 5/5 Amazing app.
I interact with this app more than any other on my phone. I’m not exaggerating when I say Things changed my life; I’ve tried paper notes and lists, other competing apps, etc., and Things enables me to manage a workload that once would’ve overwhelmed me. Best in class.
Things 3 is a great looking, well designed app. I’ve used for years, and have been pretty happy. The design is great and can capture both simple tasks and complex projects. This is a great app. I appreciate this is a real app and not a repackaged web app (ahem, Electra).
Too many task apps focus on dates and git ‘er done; but you also want to less urgent things and arrange their components in some logical way. Too many note taking apps are just too clumsy for grouping and rearranging things. This app fills all of the above needs, and each may have a due date, and may be a recurring task, too. This is the best $10 I have spent all year.
I have never written a review before, but this app make me figure it out. I love it. If this app didn’t exist, I would literally spend years trying to code this myself. Thank you for saving me the time. Read getting things done or zen to done and get this app.
Simple, powerful and looks great. Much better than its overpriced competitor.
and that you can continually transform. what a seemingly simple yet magical application UX/UI is one of the greats. My only hope, although I am satisfied, is for a calendar app :)
Been using for years, and never regretted the investment. Only real downside is accessing outside the Apple ecosystem. But still 5 stars despite this!
I didn’t realize I hated my reminders app until I started using Things 3. I can’t believe I’ve been living under a rock.
I like this app because it doesn’t bog you down the category someday is perfect in my world. In general it just works for me . Thanks RD
I love this as a to-do app. I use it to organize tasks along with the Reminders App. The projects feature is great, so is tagging and the available widgets. I only wish that I could view the Today view along with Upcoming so I don’t have to click out, but can just scroll.
