TOP TIER™ Station Finder App Reviews

Nice to have an app so when I’m out on the road in an unfamiliar area, I know where to find top tier stations. My only gripes are a couple glitches I’ve run into and I’m not understanding why some top tier stations that used to show up on the website aren’t showing up anymore. Like Sunoco. It’s still on the list of approved stations, but all Sunoco locations are no longer recognized on the station finder.

I used to use the Gas Buddy app to find Top Tier gas stations but they removed the Top Tier filter and I had to resort to sticking only with brands I know offhand are Top Tier (Mobil, Shell, Sunoco) and keep checking into the Top Tier site to verify they still uphold their certification. Here finally an app that maintains only the brands that meet the criteria and how to navigate to them.

The app functions as advertised, but the UI is atrocious. First, it opens to a splash screen that must be clicked through to use as guest every time with a fresh restart. Then, instead of opening to a map displaying nearby stations, it requires three taps to set current location (because I could be looking for gas stations on Mars, you never know!), press the hideous logo that is not at all obvious as the actionable button, then generates display a list of nearby stations by default because why

I would love to be able to see what stations are near me when I am using CarPlay.

You need to add non ethanol gas. I shouldn’t need to type location, the app should know where I am. Yes, I registered and log on.

Was trying to find a top tier gas station near me, but most of the gas stations in the app are no longer accurate due to gas stations changing ownership in the last six months. It even showed a gas station in a location where there hasn’t been a gas station for about 2 years now. There is also no way to report these errors in the app.
