New Stream Gauge Update is Excellent
All the info in one well organized app. The new stream gauge….errr, gage update for Pro version makes me very happy with easy to read comparisons to historical averages. Well done!
App Crashes
I’m not sure what was changed but the app crashes when I try to open it now. I haven’t been able to access anything recently. I’ve only recently purchased the app.
Update: I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that fixed my issue. Hopefully, this was just a one time issue. I will update this review after additional. Overall, I really like the app.

I wish we could see depth of lakes and bigger rivers
Awesome app that keeps getting better.
This app gives you comprehensive info on the trout stream opportunities in the U.S. it works great for planning an adventure and broadened my base of the general hydrology of an area that may have hidden opportunities and just as important the access points. The developers / support peeps are very proactive in responding an/or updating anything that my need tweaking. Well worth the subscription to help you explore a new area or better understand a current one. Love the ability to annotate y
Lots of potential
Almost there. Very slow and buggy. Map doesn't reload selected settings. Will retry if fix ui issues.
Useless now
This used to be a great app but now has gone down hill. When I first stated to use troutroutes it would let you see the rating of the stream what you should throw and other things that would make your fishing more successful. Now the only thing that you can do without upgrading to pro ($60 pre year) is look at a map that shows the labels of the stream. If you go to open it out it just tells to to get pro. FIX THIS.
Was 4 Stars
I loved the basic when you could touch a creek or stream and it told you what Class the waters were. That’s all I needed. Gold Medal, Class 1, 2 or 3. With the update it’s very cluttered. Now you got to pay a dollar. Rich Men North of Richmond.
Highly recommend👍
If you fish year round, this app is worth it. Only fishing app i have needed for trout fishing colorado, i pay for the year subscription. Offline maps is a big bonus for backcountry fishing trips.
New to trout fishing.
I am a true rookie when it come to trout fishing. There are no trout streams within 100s of miles of my home. It is nice to see areas to camp and fish. Planning to make multiple trips this summer and will see how well the app works.
Policy
It’s a decent app I just wish there was a monthly premium option since I don’t fish the whole year. Seems kind of excessive to pay for the whole year; only to use it for a portion of the year.
Easy to use
There’s a lot of very useful information to assist with fishing trout streams across the US.
Easily best app for fly fishing for trout
Love using this to find new trout water. Very convenient to have all of the stream data and access points combined with stream gauges and other tools. If you’re into fly fishing, highly recommend!
Trout Routes
Personally, I have not had any real complaints about the app. I find that it is user friendly and relays accurate gauge information. The easements and access areas have been pretty spot on. I what would be cool is integrating what some streams are stocked with or when they are stocked based off of state DNR websites.
If the app was free I wouldn’t expect it, but as prices creep up more features like this would be cool. Like… where can find those greenback cutthroat… lol

Trout routes reveiw
Very hard to use only useful if you pay for pro. very bad app do not use
Cost up 50%?!
From $40 to $60 for 2024 is ridiculous and taking advantage of fly fishers. I won’t be renewing.
Extremely outdated and near useless
I downloaded the app and checked the area where I normally have fished for 40+ years. Some of the streams they have listed do NOT exist. There are some streams and rivers NOT on the map and roads are 20 years out of date.
