Does exactly what it says and does exactly what I need it to, with some fun added tricks you can use to make typing more seamless. All functions explained in the tutorials given, I'm looking forward to getting as good at t9 as I was when I was younger. Also I like the developers sassy responses lol.
Because I cannot choose different layouts, I am still reaching across the screen for keys I use often, while keys such as emojis and things that I don’t need are easily reachable. I has hoped this would work well to solve my issues with the tiny keyboard but making the T9 keypad smaller just to reach won’t help. I might request a refund if there isn’t a solution.
Its going to take some time to get used to. But I think I love the idea enough to really try.
I like it. Simple and fast.
Do the tutorial, it's worth the few minuets. Some of the customizations like adding words, changing the order of suggested words, and split words takes a little practice. I like how easy it is to switch typing styles between tap and swipe as well as other formatting and navigation options. There is also a manual mode if you want to go super old-school and use multi taps for each letter; I would like if I could adjust the timing in this mode. Overall, I am very satisfled with this application
But I wish there was a mode that showed numbers on the keyboard instead of only the letters
If you’re on the fence about this, I would say just get it. It’s worked flawlessly for me, and it does exactly what I hoped it would do. I don’t think it’s any slower than the regular keyboard, and with bigger keys, there are fewer mistypes. Controls are intuitive and easy to learn, making it well worth four bucks.
I love it using now
Occasionally i get the words that have the same letters mixing up but a better version of the original t9 texting. Brings frustration levels down tremendously
I love this keyboard but the stickers feature needs to be integrated.
Pretty much love it. Only thing i foot like is has some random misspelled words and random letters in the dictionary. But that could be my fault. Been using this app for years
The Best keyboard ever for me for many years!!!
Sometimes I'm shocked that it has the word I want built in. The algorithm also rarely misses. After being disappointed by "retro txt", I an pleasantly surprised by this app.
This is perfect. Perhaps not the best for swiping but the tap-only T9 implementation is perfect. Needed an easy one handed keyboard while holding my baby and searched for something like this. So happy I did. And a bonus for allowing us to resize the layout so I can right justify it. I don't understand any reviews less than 4 stars. Great app priced right.
If you miss the speed of typing with T9, this is the app you want. A few days of forcing myself to reacquaint and I’m able to pump out text faster than I ever could on a full keyboard. Used it for this review! The only knock I’ll give it is the keyboard isn’t very pretty against a white/light background iMessage app. Other than that, it stores/remembers words, has many additional functions you don’t get with the old school T9, and has tutorials directly in the app on how to leverage these addi
I’ve used this off and on over the last few years and I really like it! Lately I’ve been using it more consistently and it’s gotten even better as I've gotten more used to it. Many thanks to the developer, it's a great product.
I'm writing this with t9, and while it's definitely slower than qwerty, i haven't had to fight with fixing a typo yet. If you're dealing with big hands and a small screen, give this a try.
With iOS 16 bringing haptic feedback, I think Type Nine can finally shine to its fullest! Hope to see it one day. Thank you!
In typing this review with the app right now. works like a charm. Like real t9 expect it to take some time to learn how you type. It's also definitely way harder doing t9 on b virtual keyboard. The lack of physical keys means you have to look more. Nice job developer dude.
As someone who grew up with T9 texting, I find this easy to adapt to when using my phone one-handed. (I have a 14 pro max) switching from QWERTY to t9 isn’t an issue either. Two handed typing for longer messages and t9 for one handed short responses. That’s what I love and wish it came stock in iOS
Now I can text and drive like its 2008! 😍
App works awesome. The savings foot take into cantot age apparent treating thats been done to solve previous issues. It works great!
Feels like middle school all over again
Love it, just like back in the day
I just wish it had more options for themes other than basic colors and it would be perfect. I mean I spent money to get the app. Give us more colors or an option to add our own background.
I can tell a lot of thought went into this. No real complaints with the functionality. If you remember t9 (and why else would you be here?), this will deliver what you are looking for and a little extra
Does whatever youd expect from a predictive t9 app for a keyboard, one of the best, good user interface and good autocorrect
After using for a few weeks, the speaker button went away.
I had some minor bugs. After receiving an advice frome developer, it works again like charm. Problem was with iOS 14.4,but developer solved an issue lightning fast!
I love this old way of typing. But, after update on iOS 14,4 keyboard becomes bugy! Need an update and bug fixes
This is amazing application. Really like this nine Type 😍
I gotta tell you I'm a dork when it it comes to dual finger typing. But "Type Nine " makes me look like a pro. I more than doubled my typing speed and I'm building my own dictionary! . It takes some practice but time well invested.
It's perfect. It's too bad that it doesn't have haptic feedback, but otherwise it's very efficient. Typing is much faster.
Takes a bit of practice but very well done.
First I was hesitant to pay for something I got for free on my previous android phone. But I was going nuts using the built in keyboard and the swype implementation was just not as good in iOS. This T9 is functional, you will like it.
I've been looking for T9 keyboard for years and this is a great start. I still do a lot of correcting but I love not having to Swipe ALL characters and I like the handy shortcuts for erasing and capitalizing, etc. Thanks!
At first I thought this was just a t9 keyboard, but it’s really more than that. Multi language capability, swype, custom keyboard size, etc. This is a dose of nostalgia plus smartphone practicality. Fantastic :)
This keyboard is fast and fun to use. It's come a long way since I first downloaded it. Glad to see the developer is dedicated to making improvements.
The Inapp introduction is broken. A pop up comes up and cannot be dismissed. Also switching to landscape and back messes up the keyboard layout.
Not as versitile as the full keyboard but it works well and I'm sure I'll get quick with it the more I use it. The shortcuts make it very likeable and keep me trying with it versus going back to the stock keyboard.
I miss the old t9 word so this app in loving it great job for whoever created this for iPhones
I enjoy this keyboard very much but I’m a righty and the set up is for lefty’s. It would be cool to see an option where the keyboard was flipped to make typing easier for righty’s like myself. Other than that, this keyboard is great.
Type nine is one of my top two apps! It works flawlessly. No more hunt and peck on a tiny keyboard. Prediction is top notch! I've been using for a couple years now.
Pretty nice utility. However missing a smarter way to add emojis. A search facility like the one in gboard would be awesome.
not what i expected like can i get a refund? i do not use it. it’s terrible
