Ultimate General™: Gettysburg-apprecensioner

This is the only real time strategy wargame I know on iPad, and it is very good. Great graphics, intuitive gameplay (very easy to learn but remaining strategical) and a powerful AI are the qualities of the game. Only misses a multiplayer mode (but the AI being excellent, it's not a huge problem) and the possibility to play custom or random games, without going through the campaign.

I can't wait for the next game

Played the PC version and it's also perfect for touch screen. Beautiful, easy to grasp but tactically deep (it demands RTS concentration!), and a very competent AI both offensively and defensively. No brainer recommendation.

If you like strategy and also your ipad you will Love this game. It works very well with touch and can be challenging at times to beat the enemy. 5 star all the way.

If you like a game that is fairly historical accurate, but at the same time allows easy and fast gaming (and is RT instead of turn based) I can highly recommend Ultimate General Gettysburg. The maneuvering is efficient and intuitive, and at the same time it takes into account the terrain, and the quality of the troops. It is perhaps not as accurate and detailed as the ”Total-War”-series on PC, but the simplicity and pace of the game makes this more fun to play.

Reminds me of old Sid Meiers Gettysburg but Ipad-friendly. Really fun.

Superbt gameplay, vettiga pekskärms-kontroller och väloptimerat (paddan blir inte supervarm och slukar batteri).

I like the game, the strategy and battles. However this has to be for iPad? Extremly clunky even on iPhone 8s. The controls are just a mess, and it really ruins the experience.
