Problem with listening to articles

The app is really great, but I’m having issues playing the articles. As soon as the screen’s light goes off and the screen locks, the article stops playing.

Articles not displayed

The issue below got fixed with the help of the support team. A re-installation of the app was necessary - I give four stars now. ————— For a few days now only the leading image and the first few lines of the article are displayed, followed by a plain white page. This is the case for all articles I clicked on. I am reading the New Yorker only via the app, so this bug renders my subscription completely useless. If it persists for much longer I will have to cancel it.
