This app will download audio files from RSS feeds, keep them organized, and then play them back for you. It has a user interface that seems like it was designed by a person who uses it themselves, rather than someone trying to harvest your data or sell you something or game “engagement metrics” for their quarterly KPIs or whatever. It has a bunch of other fancy features but I don’t use them, because I really just need those first two things.

So great, especially being able to have different playlists. I’ve been using it for over 10 years now. Tried other apps, none are so optimized. Developer is super responsive too and keeps app updated.

This is a great app! Is it possible to replace the file size for each podcast that used to be at the top of the page binder each title?

This app works reliably, has a great interface, and is thoughtfully designed, with very useful features. It is an excellent substitute for Apple's lousy podcast app. In fact, though I was initially very disappointed when Apple introduced that app and removed the capability to download podcasts within their music app, now I'm glad they did it, because iCatcher is so much better for podcasts than the Apple music app ever was.

IMO, the best podcast player bar none!

Excellent podcast app. Sleep timer is best. It gradually lowers volume as it gets closer to time. Does not jar you back awake. Playlists are not easy to understand.

I’ve used a few podcast players - so far this one is the best

After trying several of the most popular podcast apps, I’ve found that none of them even touches the level of control and overall experience available here. This is one of very few apps I’ll bother to rate and review because it’s just that good. And it’s one of two that I *voluntarily* pay for (via the in-app tip jar). Like I said, it’s just that good, and it is one of the most frequently used apps I have.

Have relied on this app for my podcasts for years. This is possibly the most capable podcast app even though others are more talked about. Developer is very good in keeping it up to date. —- Sadly with update 8.1.1 the app is very buggy/unstable. Swipes to advance Audi don’t work, sometimes downloads are hanging, can not get out podcast notes or cannot show them. Bummed — 8.1.2 restores “swipe to advance” yay!

My go-to for years. Does everything you’d want a pod catcher to do. However, in most recent update, I can’t use the next/prev buttons to go to next/prev chapter in the same episode that I used to be able to do and was vital for podcasts like Coverville that have internal chapters. The setting for allowing it to do that is still there and turned on but when I hit next, it goes to next episode instead of next chapter so I have to use the chapter toc to move between chapters. Is this a fixable re

Settings are not very accessible for the visually impaired and the blind

Excellent app and hard working dev. Wish it had some kind of queue system but other than that it’s really great. Appreciate the dev not making a premium subscription like so many other apps and instead a one time payment. Thank you.

I’ve been using it for many years. This app has so much more functionality than the standard iPhone podcast app - can’t imagine why one wouldn’t spend the pittance to enhance one’s podcast experience significantly.

I’ve been using this app for years, and I still marvel at what a feature-packed gem it is compared to popular competitors. If you want to have granular control, make smart playlists, or find obscure podcasts about any topic from all over the world, this is the best app out there! Endless thanks to the devs for search filters that serve us and not some monetization-driven sorting algorithm. You are the best!

Excellent functionality, lots of customization

A great way to listen and organize your podcasts. Lots of great features that I didn't even know I needed. I don't know how I survived before this app came along.

Almost a perfect podcast app. Took off one star because shows don’t clear from playlists unless I exit the playlist. The app will continue moving to the next show in the queue but I’ll still have several played and deleted shows sitting at the top of the queue.

I was searching for a way to easily side-load my own music and podcasts to my Apple Watch without having a Apple Music subscription. ICatcher allows you to easily transfer your own music or podcasts from files stored on your iPhone or synced in the cloud. Great Job, Developers!

I originally gave this podcast 5 stars with a glowing review. Unfortunately, lately I have been unable to play the podcast audio through my Apple Watch ultra. Since I often travel without my iPhone, I often use this app to play podcasts through my Apple Watch. Until recently this has worked flawlessly. But like I’ve said, for the last several weeks I have been unable to do this and now on the Apple Watch the app is always asking me to select which audio source to play audio from.

I've been using iCatcher for more than 6 years now and love it! It can be as simple or complex as you would like it to be. It's easy to add feeds and just play episodes, but you can do many other things if you'd like. Being able to schedule a time to refresh podcasts, whether to download over Wifi only, or even only when connected to a specific network, the ability to set up playlists of specific feeds, and many other features make this my go-to app for podcasts. Highly recommend!

I used to be able to import episodes from my Synology Drive app. Now it continues to say File not found. Then the app will freeze. If I reopen the app and navigate back to the file, sometimes it’s available. I have to repeat that process for every file which makes the app undesirable to use. I reached out to support about the issue months ago, but never got a reply. This used to be a great app.
