30 Positive User Reviews for Overcast

Nice little app, but need some serious UI development.

It’s a nice little app, but it has some serious navigation issues between the components of such an app. I could be inside of my favorite podcast, but then I can’t escape out to the rest of the podcasts so it’s really unintuitive to use. I don’t know, maybe in a few different versions it’ll get better

Best Podcast app

Easy-to-use interface. There aren’t ads in your face all the time. All episodes are uploaded on time, every time. There are no negatives I can even think of.

Best audio adjustment options

I like that it has custom speed and silence trimming options

Still the best podcast app

Mini player with buttons! Thank You!

Playback speed issues

I love this app but the playback speed is broken. It constantly resets the playback speed and has made the app unusable for me :(

Love the New Update

This is the best podcast player you could have for your podcast needs. You aren’t going to find a more caring developer. The developer really cares about his craft. That isn’t something you’re going to get from Apple Podcast or Spotify, that’s for sure. Also love the new UI. I don’t know if this was a previous feature and I’m only learning about it after the update, but being able to “favorite” a specific podcast, nice touch. I’ve always enjoyed/ will continue to enjoy using this app. It’s great

Best I’ve found on IOS

(Edit: Was the best. No longer fetching feeds, even manually)

Used Daily, need to add Transcript features

Best podcast player in the store, would like to see AI features, capabilities to share snippets, and manuscripts, these features are requirements to ensure it stays at the top of the list.

Bugs

Difficult to swipe down when playing an episode to get back to get back to playlist. When trying to swipe left to delete an episode in a playlist, it often selects and starts playing that episode instead.

Amazing, again and always

The latest updates to Overcast have been fantastic. Love the listening stats, episode images, and the Promos and Reruns filter is *amazing*

Fantastic app

Best podcast app!

Years and years of Overcast

This has been with me through thousands of miles of driving and travel. One of the best podcast catchers ever.

Surveillance-free (ish) listening

… and the ability to skip X seconds at the beginning and X seconds at the end are my two favorite features. Thank you for making this possible!

Perfect podcast app

It’s everything I want in a podcast app. Easy to use, great interface, just perfect in every way.

Excellent Podcast Player

I love this podcast player. Very user friendly, able to make different lists using different categories. I’ve tried others and this is my favorite!

Best Podcast App

I love the fact that you can customize the audio settings. This app beats iPhone Podcast app hands down.

Fantabulous and Refined

By far the best podcast manager app on the app store. Perfectly balanced usability and features that just works. Auto download and queue features to create a playlist from your custom sources and the ability to set after play and post download actions for each podcast. This app gives everything you need to stay up to date without too much bloat. Have yet to find a podcast that wasn’t able to be found in the in app search. Do yourself a favor and get rid or Castro or Apple podcasts and use this i

Best in class

Does exactly what I need a podcast app to do. If you want more control and options than the default Apple Podcasts, this is your best choice.

the only pod app works for apple watch

app can be used without iphone, as an independent piece on apple watch. amazing!

Everything I ever needed in a podcast app!

Best podcast app I have ever used. Much better than Apple Podcasts.

My Favorite Podcast App, Hands Down!

Better features and settings than any other podcatcher; and I’ve tried almost all of them!

Overcast is great

Great for streaming or downloading your favorite podcasts

Great podcast app

Love this app - you can add all your podcasts, good controls, sleep timer is useful, able to download a ton of podcasts, great to keep them organized.

Absolutely perfect

I love everything about this app. Thats it!

Great app

I have used it for a while now and find it very simple and extremely reliable. I recommend it for every one.

Good player

Loved this when it had a web app too. Still use it because it is a solid player and I like supporting the independent dev.

Used for years…what happened?

I have used this app for so many years…9 maybe? And it has become very glitchy and slow in the past 6 months. The updates have been few and far between and it needs help. Also, it is not intuitive and I have a hard time finding settings for all sorts of features. I am hoping things will improve in the glitchy department before I have to search for a new app. Disappointed.

Best podcast app

I will never use another app. No joke I’ve been using this app for years and nothing even comes close.

The Best Podcasting App

This is without a doubt the best podcasting app in the App Store. I’ve tried them all and I always come back to Overcast. Simply the best.

1 Negative User Reviews for Overcast

No customer support

Best podcast app out there — as long as you don’t need any help if, say, you get locked out of your premium account and you’re still getting charged but can’t actually use it. Honestly will probably just have to shut down my account because I can’t get a reply from them on how to get back in. Though I don’t know if I can do that since I’m locked out, so maybe I’ll just be paying for a service forever that I can’t actually use?
