One of the most useful apps I have.

A good app for those with a passion for words.

Reading a fair amount of English literature and being reasonably comfortable with English after years of school studies, I very often run into puzzling words and expressions. Sure, I've got my Merriam-Webster dictionary in the book shelf, but this app, constantly with me, is a must! Get the explanation while the question is still remembered! Get it now!

After the last updates, which finally made it possible to keep the dictionary app in split-screen with my writing app, my writing environment on the iPad Pro is complete. A solid app an indispensable companion when writing in English.

I would like to read the "word of the day" text of a word that has been featured there when I go to the entry for that word.

I once spoke to a girl who said: "I don't believe in synonyms. They are just sign posts." This app helped me understand what she meant. Thank you.

This dictionary is an exceptional resource that I frequently utilize. One enhancement that would greatly enhance its usability would be the addition of a feature to copy the selected word with a single click or hold, rather than relying on the current slow-moving share arrow.

I expected more of this pro version. It turns out that the free web version has more of unusual definitions than this iOS app has. Example: ”mauvise honte” is found and explained at merriam-webster.com, but is non-existing in this app! Moreover, like a REAL physical dictionary, there should be alternative pronunciations where such are common.
