I love the Economist for being so complex. It’s like a Rubic’s Cube where information and knowledge is brought together in different and then complementing arrangements and contexts. The economist surely keeps one ahead of the pack

Often the page on the iPhone jumps around randomly when you scroll so you can end up practically anywhere on the page. Come on Econ people… you charge a lot.

I’m a subscriber and app user since several years. The Economist delivers fantastic journalism. Are there plans for a home screen widget? I love it to jump into articles for other news apps.

I really like the content, the variety and the objectivity… if there is sth to improve it is the articles’ audio version which are too monotonous. After 3-4 episodes it is hard to keep the eyes open.

Although the app is in general really nice, I am missing a timer in the podcast section.

Good app, I enjoy reading in it except for the huge advertising banners that come up when scrolling through the text.

The text size adjustment in the App was unfortunately removed with this version, and using the ones in Settings by IOS doesn’t really solve the issue. A pity but an opportunity glass magnifier manufacturers.

The Economist has been my favourite news outlet for >15 years. The Smartphone experience has been consistent and solid.

Ok, the new version at least resolved three of my major gripes: - Performance: acceptable now - Download issue: seems to work reliably now - Rotation: yay, finally rotate any way you want on iPad Still some issues wrt UX, and why I can't have two-columns on my iPad I still don't know. But: can you please bring back the zooming of images? Especially the weekly cartoon? Good app. I wish the ads were a bit more subtle

Not sure why. However it seems that the feature to adjust the font size has been removed from the app.

The last update made the app significantly less convenient to use. Text selection has become complicated and articles are no longer marked as read.

Why would you advertise the improved app performance if it still lags when just reading an article? Can’t be that hard to fix one would think…
