  SOLVED - Pencil icon!
  Did some experimenting and figured out the pencil icon! It allows you to use your S-Pen (Samsung Galaxy phones) to test out placement of cats and X's on the board the same way you would normally, and if/when you're satisfied, you can then Apply your changes to the board by hitting the Apply button. If you've ever used the Hint icon and been shown potential Cat placement, you'll recognize the icons this function uses. Now, this doesn't work solely with your fingertips, at least not on my S26 Ultra. It only functions when I ejected my S-Pen for use. iPhone users will need to test with their stylus to see what results they get.

  Some squares not responding to clicks which means I can't complete grids now. This is on my phone. I tried playing via laptop after downloading game there and same issue! Guess this must be a problem in the game. Anyone else having the same issue?

  I’m on level 99… never used a hint until now and one hint was something I miss and the second was obviously for a further completed board.
  I think I’ve exhausted all logic based cross outs with no cats.
  I feel like I have one in three guess right in the middle … vertical… two green and a brown.
  Do they make you guess?

  HonestPanther56, your question is really asking whether these puzzle boards are always deducible by the rules or whether there is ever a component of "luck". For clarity, I do not prefer boards that require luck/simple guessing. In your situation, when the last two blocks of a color are directly next to each other ("in a line") you can know that no Cats can be in any of the four blocks touching those last two blocks of the same color, because a Cat in either spot would block those out. Similarly, when tjree blocks of the same color

  The situation: You have two circle colors left (e.g., pink & yellow), and two of each of those colors (i.e., 2 pink circles & 2 yellow circles)
  1. Is the order in which you play a color important? I have not detected a reason why it would be.
  2. However, your selection of which of the 2 circles of the same color to double-tap first (i.e., the circle that you think is the “cat circle” for that color) IS important. Does anyone have a strategy for deciding which circle of the same color should be tapped first?
